My America.

I really suck at having political conversations with people, because i feel so strongly about it. Honestly, i wouldn’t give two shits about Baby Hitler, if i wasn’t a mixture of all he stands against. Three strikes and you’re out right? well here are mine.  I have gone 21 years of my life being looked at differently for the color of my skin and texture of my hair. For 17 years I technically didn’t even know who i was or where i was from. My parents lived with constant anxiety that i would be given less opportunities due to the fact that i was born in Mexico. Now, i have spent 8 years of my life not wanting to post relationship pictures for fear of loosing my job. (Sexual orientation is not a protected status in the state of Texas unless specified by the company). The only difference from then to now, is that we had a leader fighting for the people not against them. Not only am I a woman who will eventually have her rights stripped by a misogynistic sexual predator but, I am a proud homosexual who has accepted the fact that this country will be ran by a homophobic business man. Hold on, keep reading, i’m not done explaining how he affects me. I am also an alien resident. An infant who entered illegally and has worked her way to make this county her home. A hard working, english speaking, tax paying, law abiding citizen who is being told there will be a wall between her and her family.( that is if he doesn’t succeed in putting me on their side as well)  Now, if you still don’t understand how there could be people who refuse to call him President then you, you are very blessed and privileged in your life. I however, will never envy you for the way you live. I am much more stronger than you. I have had to fight for everything I have and you? you’ve said please and thank you. This is my open letter to Trump and everyone who loves him. I want to speak out for everyone who is being told to suck it up. I will go through one by one on all of these issues and not argue but simply state for everyone who doesn’t understand the others view. My goal is not by any means to try and convert you to a non supporter. (Trump will do that in time) But, for everyone to stop arguing and accept the diversity of our thoughts. We are the melting pot of the world and all of a sudden we want to get mad and kick everyone out and shut the doors behind us? AMERICA HAS LOST ITS WAY. If we are indeed one of the best countries then, of course immigrants will want the chance to live a better life here. Why are we so surprised! Work towards becoming ONE, and being Understanding and kind. You do not have to agree with everyone much less like them. Let this country remain the home of the brave. We breed leaders not followers. If you see someone expressing anger or panic do not gloat for they are you in previous elections. Let them know they matter. Let them know they are loved. This is our home and i refuse to let it go down in hate flames.
