i am in serious countdown mode right now.
1 week from saturday i will be laying on the beach. which is about the only thing keeping me from going insane as i look at this snow on the ground. mother nature has had it out for kentucky this year. it was litterally like 70 degrees on saturday, and 25 and snowy by last night. how does that even happen?! anywho, i don't care. because there's NO snow in the forecast for the next 10 days, AND the temps are in at least the 40's :). incase y'all haven't noticed.... i detest winter. with every single fiber of my being. i hate it. on a completely different note, i did not realize how hard accepting myself, and learning to love myself would be. i had no idea i would break down in tears everyday for a week after feeling disgusted by the physical image in the mirror. and when i really stop and think about it, it's so silly. but at the same time, it's depressing. i've come to realize maybe it's just a little more than "self-esteem issues". maybe it's the kinda thing people seek professional help for. i could be wrong, but i don't think it's normal to do a quick calculation of how many calories you've eaten and how many you burned at the gym every time you look in the mirror. it doesn't seem okay to me that i don't feel like i look beautiful in my clothes if i don't also look "skinny" in them. there is a serious battle that goes on in my head every single day, with half my brain saying "i don't care if it kills you, just get fucking skinny." and the other half going "shut the hell up! calm the hell down, go eat some carrots and stop worrying about it." long story short, i'm over this feeling. i honestly can't remember a time that "gettin' skinny" wasn't the goal i woke up to everyday.
