The apples of her cheeks pinked as she regarded the general. It had been quite some time since she last saw him. She hardly had time for herself or anyone else being at the forefront of Future Industries. ❝If you have time, I could invite you over for a cup of tea?❞

He gave a respectful tilt of the head, grinning as though he was irresistibly prejudiced in her favor; that delicate blush of hers did not escape his notice. "For you, I'll make time; we have a lot of catching up to do."

Rich florals and warm spice. Guan No. 5 if he knew anything of perfumes, and he certainly did. Asami's favorite; combined with the motor oil, it was unmistakeable. He tilted his head to give her easier access.

"Nice to see you too, Miss Sato."

I do not have to be high to be creative.  I do not have to be drunk to have a good idea. I can sit with my thoughts and not feel crazy. I can do it. I can do it without the dope.

Hey Journal,

I just heard Dope today for what’s felt like years. Things have begun to change somewhat since my last post. I’m still in a relationship, but we’ve had our rocky moments. I can’t believe I’ve made it this far, to be honest. Today, I have no idea why, but I wanted to cry. Every now and then, I find myself going back to victimizing myself but pick myself up shortly after that shell shocking moment. I guess I’m okay with thoughts like those racing in my head on occasion. I’ve made it pretty far, and I haven’t had to rely on any drugs to make it. My addictive personality hasn’t taken hold. I’ve found some peace within me, in terms of coming back and living in Virginia. 

I haul ass most days now, from sun up to sun down. I recognize the need for some down time alone, though. I’ve finally taken 10 minutes to sit down and burst write my thoughts. I play harmonica on my walk to work. It’s progress from the past few weeks, where I’ve not been doing much for myself. Eventually, I’ll strive to become a pretty highly functional person by balancing a job, a boyfriend, and hobbies.

                                   Slight grin etching it’s way onto his tanned face, arm being brought up whilst his hand rubbed at the back of his head, scratching the fine, dark hair. The guy couldn’t believe she’d lost her way, though he didn’t blame her it was a pretty tough place to get around in. He let his grin spread even further, revealing pearl colored teeth. Olive hued eyes flit into her direction before he waved his hand for her to follow him, a small laugh bubbling passed his lips. 

‘ it’d be an honor to show ya around. any friend of the avatar’s is a friend of mine. come on slow poke. ’  

                                                With Wei, he was such the people person that he’d instantly tease them. His nature was gentle though fierce when need be. Being the second oldest he was always acting the child towards others, even now. He wasn’t Bolin, though, that much was for sure. That guy was more weird than him, sometimes. Dark brow arched as lips parted to speak,

‘ so were you just looking around or got lost on the way to the dance thing my mom’s holding tonight? ’

Stillness, like that hanging in the air in the early mornings on Sato Manor, was a rare luxury for Iroh, and he didn’t suspect Asami got much of it either.  Even if he’d pilfered the few loose cigarettes from her purse, he also doubted she’d appreciate the smell of smoke clinging to her house, so he enjoyed the quiet morning, leaned up against the wall of her garage, the concrete cool against his bare shoulders.  

He gave a polite nod when his host found him.  “Thought I’d get it out of my system before washing up,” he explained, pupils dilating at the sight of her, long hair disheveled, green eyes relaxed and cool as the morning dew.
