Dan took a moment to take a drag of his cigarette, considering for much longer than he had to about the offer. A night away from the papers and parents sounded like just what he needed.
“I’ll grab my jacket,” he finally said, with a grin. “Need me to drive?
“I can happily take us, the traffic’s much better around here than across the Atlantic, but if you’d prefer to drive I’ll not stop you.” He looked out at the rental car, then over to Dan. He honestly could probably drive a bit more decently over in England, but he’d pretend he was humoring Dan if he insisted. But he looked down at the other man and offered a small smile.
“We’ve still plenty of time as well, if you’d care to grab something to eat beforehand.” So far Dan seemed amenable. He’d rather not press too much, but it was a time for both of them to relax. There’s few Morgan would rather do it with.
