I have one tube of mascara.  I think they're referred to as tubes.  God, I don't know, and I'm not going to look that up.  I have probably only had that one mascara in my life.  It's probably from somewhere around 2003-2005, and I don't use it anymore.  I don't use it because at some point in the last several years, when I became more serious about being a "real femme" (whatever that means), at least when I want to be, I discovered I should be replacing that stuff every six months.  

So I don't use the mascara.  But I don't want to throw it out, because what if I want my lashes to seem... like they have mascara on them?  Really, the better idea would be to buy new mascara, so that I would use it if I wanted to without feeling like I was threatening my sight.  

But I haven't done that, because I haven't chosen to wear mascara in years.  Because I don't want to use the one I have.
