An unusually slow day came across the shop as Andrew sketched out a couple little designs, intricate enough to look nice on skin but simple enough to fit anyone's taste. Palm sized, by measurement of his own hand. It was a past time, when there was nothing to do in the shop, as background noise rang faint behind his concentration as FX reran The Incredible Hulk for the fifth time that week.
The flash sheets which had been finished ( all of which had been some variation of marvel and floral patterns ) were lain off to the side as he started to snap a picture of each to post to social media, hoping to drum up business. In the midst of it all, Naomi interrupted with a little paper plane being tossed over his work station. It was tossed back, landing in her hair, which drew out a small laugh from his chest and out through his nose.
He finished photographing the sheets and took another seat down at his station to post with the usual caption of “ flash - first come first serve - $80-100 ” and his phone was rested down as he waited for any incoming messages to put pieces on hold.
The front door chimed, then, and his chair was rolled out to the middle of the aisle between both Naomi’s desk and his own work station, and he stood from his seat. “Hey, how’s it goin’?” He greeted a generic hello as he stopped at the front desk where flash books were displayed. “Just lookin’ around?”
