The three older siblings were all born on the same day and are sometimes referred to as the triplets.

Nova has a rather large pet and if very good with her hands, often welding things for one of their Aunt Mariposa’s experiments.

Maria has sent multiple people to the hospital.

John has spent years trying to get Nova to eat sushi, which she swore off because the first kind she tried was sea urchin.

And so ends Cleave. With nearly 500 images across over 100 updates, what initially started with a one-shot certainly ended up being much more than a single post.

There’s certainly room for more adventures with the original crew or Nova and her siblings, but I’m more or less happy with where this has gone and where it is. Though as stated before I’m sure there’ll be one-offs here and there going forward. I do have some more fun facts about the world so keep reading if you want:

I have 3 head-canons about dragon-cycles, 2 of which explain Cajeta.

1) They have a “helium-organ” that makes them light enough to fly, explaining how the wingless variety can do it.

B) They’re a single gender species, when they’re called “girl” or “boy” it’s just people projecting. So as long as you’ve got 2 or more of them eggs will eventually come (though sometimes Marco wonders if something might have affected Cajeta’s looks, like something one of its parents ate). But keeping all that in mind...

iii) Because they’re lifetimes are so long they don’t lay eggs very frequently, which is why only Nova has one.

Aunt Mariposa is around, having become a theoretical physicist. She’s secretly been working on trans-dimensional gateway for years, often having Nova help make the physical parts for it. While she can’t completely explain why, part of her has always felt like something in her life went missing and maybe this is a way to find it.
