out of curiosity, if someone wanted to make drawings for your fics, what would you describe nova belle and salome like?

Oh shit, sure! Just remember that I don’t describe how they look, so skin, hair, eyes, body type, etc is REALLY up to the reader who plays the part. Consider these character notes! There really is no wrong way to depict them, since they are the reader, so please feel free to have fun putting yourself in place.

Nova

Has her hair in elaborate braids (she doesn’t wear the First Order buns). Kinda like Daenerys Targaryen S7, if you would like a reference, but all her hair is in a braid!

Has scars littered on her body, but the biggest one is on her back in a diagonal line and the burned X on her inner thigh.

Outfit is very similar to Kylo’s outfit, minus the sleeves, gloves and cape!

Always pretty happy, in comparison to many other people in the First Order.

Belle

@formerly-anonhamster drew Belle with a bun in her hair, and I kinda agree she would wear a bun or ponytail most days.

…definitely steals Clyde’s shirts and makes them look cute. Especially his cozy plaids during cold weather.

She wears cute underwear, just gonna point that out there. You never know, but Clyde likes her underwear.

Salome

Salome’s a nun, so…she would normally wear her outwear garb until she gets ill c:” Sooo, lots and lots of layers.

She wears a rosary that Garupe made for her, so try to go for a homemade-looking cross and beads for her to wear! You can find references online, if you’re not used to seeing different kinds.

Her nightwear/underwear is basically a simple nightgown and her hair is down, so nothing too special. Salome doesn’t have much of a depiction for anything, so she’s probably more open than Belle and Nova!

okay okay so we know kylo has a hair routine and pampering himself before bed but do you have any for nova? shes precious and i love her

So first thing Nova likes to do is play with the BB units within the First Order (or any droid available). While she’s waiting for her bath to warm up and such, she’ll play hide-and-seek with them or just follow them around; Nova didn’t grow up being able to “play” or have fun, and the droids keep her entertained better in comparison to the officers, ‘troopers and Knights.

Next, Nova takes a scrubbing shower before soaking in hot water with scented bubbles or water oils. She likes ones that smell like flowers or minty herbs, and they ease her muscles. Nova always scrubs her hair because she loves feeling clean before bed!

Nova loves lotions. They’re a luxury she never knew existed until she found them and read the instructions the first night she stayed in the Supremacy. Sometimes she will steal Hux’s shipment just to get on his nerves, but she also likes the stronger scents available to men, too.

“Why are there scents reserved for men, and change the packaging? Doesn’t make it any better for men if they’re just stronger scents and ease stress.” “I don’t know what to tell you, love…where did you get the extra bottles?” “Don’t worry about it.”

After bath and lotion, next is relaxation in meditation, with or without Kylo. Nova learns how to use the holonet to find music to help her focus and happy memories she shares with Kylo (sometimes those memories get projected to him and keeps him calm).

Nova won’t sleep alone, no matter what. That’s just the way she’s been since she was a baby, so used to being around another being while sleeping as a slave, an apprentice, etc. If Kylo can not be present to share a bed with Nova, she will just lie on the floor with BB9E and nap a bit, but rarely sleep without Kylo. No Kylo? No proper hours of sleep.

how old are the readers in SpringBeauty and Prelude?

Nova/reader is a couple (two or three) years younger than Kylo, stated at the end of chapter iii.

Belle/reader’s age isn’t specified, but would estimate between 3-5 years younger than Clyde. Not too much difference, considering that Joe Bang is her “uncle”.

i think it would be nice if nova/me cant write. it gives kylo the excuse to teach her how to write and all the fluff ^^ he teaches her how to write her name

I think Nova/reader would have more fun watching Kylo write or do calligraphy (all when she’s suppose to be learning, of course). She learns, yeah, but she will ask him to keep writing over and over because she likes how focused he is and how calm he looks.
