Mei wasn’t entirely sure if this was just her spacing out or if situations like this actually happened outside of books, movies, or even anime for that matter. True she had been in a situation where she’d be stalked before, but these guys were just being ridiculous and overly cocky. If she had to guess they were both probably freshmen in college, of course they didn’t seem like they attended her University at all. She let out a mental sigh, when someone says No to wanting to ‘Hang out’ then it meant no. Mei really didn’t want to be that girl who was picked up because they felt bored or even alone. 

  Honestly, she just wanted to go back to her dorm room and sleep whatever sort of day this had been away.

“Look, when someone turns away from you it doesn’t mean keep pestering them until you get the answer you want to hear. No is the answer and so it will be. So stop following him and questioning me every five seconds thinking it will change my mind.” That was probably the most Mei had spoken to one person since, well, ever. She never even used that many words to speak to her own mother.

Suddenly feeling her arm grabbed she turned to see them a bit angry and what she had just said. “L-let go of me!” she demanded trying to get her arm back.

Slaine has only been in the aquarium once, and while that was with a special someone, he wanted to visit alone this time. There were a lot of memories in this miraculous place. He was taught a few things here and there thanks to his smart and helpful friend, but not everything. They visited other things that day, after all. And now, he had to go back, for a school project that he had at hand.

He was jotting down many notes as he could with what the aquarium was able to teach him about fish. His favorite so far would have to be the jellyfish, but he didn’t know much about them. He stared at the jellyfish, watching the exotic creatures sway from left to right in their little paradise. He tried his best to make a small sketch of the sea creature, and he hadn’t realized how long he was standing there. The moment he moved his arm to erase something, he had brushed against someone by accident.

They were tall, much taller than he was—how did he not notice this somewhat intimidating man? Were they watching him draw? Do his homework? 

“I’m sorry, I hope I’m not blocking the view from you,” the tank was pretty long, but Slaine had the best view. He side-stepped a little to try and give them some space. Lately, he’s been apologizing a lot, and feeling rather clumsy. Maybe he wasn’t quite used to the change of environments yet, even though he’s been in Talia for months now. “Is that a little better? Ah—does this look right to you?” although he was nervous talking to the stranger, he showed off the few sketches of jellyfish he did. Anatomy was hard.
