Lydia couldn’t leave it alone. Conner had warned her not to dig but neither one could stay away. There was a reason no one had figured it out. She couldn’t have imagined it was something like this. Something like him or- whatever he is. Whatever they are. She needed the whole story but knowledge comes with obligation. She had to protect them and make sure no one else got hurt. She just had to make sure she could pay the price for their safety.
