Who's doing off-brand NaNoWriMo this year? They can't take our fun from us!
has this been done before?
i'm ten away from 100 followers on my poetry blog !!
Help me decide on a NaNo project!
I’m stuck deciding between two novels this year, which is pretty good seeing as last year I was stuck deciding between seven. But alas, I still need help. I’m not writing two novels, that’s just not how I work.
If you want to know more about each book, go ahead and search the tags [#wip: collide] and [wip: rules for the end of the world] on my blog!
Option #1: Collide
YA // Fantasy // Forbidden romance // People with wings // War and politics //
Reasons I want to write it: I’ve been planning it for three years and really would like to get a solid draft written sometime soon. I really love the story and have a lot of the plot figured out.
Reasons I don’t want to write it: I keep running into huge plotholes in the outline that I just can’t work out. I’m worried I’ll get stuck halfway through the month. Also, after working on it for three years, I’m kind of sick of it.
Option #2: Rules for the End of the World
YA // Modern post-apocalyptic // Bit of romance // Comedy // Gen Z humor //
Reasons I want to write it: It’s a super fun book and I love the characters to death. Its WIP intro got a lot of attention, so I think a lot of people are just as eager for it to be written as I am.
Reasons I don’t want to write it: It’s a fairly new idea so I don’t have a full plot yet, which really worries me. I’m scared I’ll run out of ideas halfway through the month.
Just hit 40,000 words!!
Tonight’s goal: 40,000 words. Current wordcount: 38,559 words.
Can I do it?
We’ll see.
I reached 48,138 words. I should definitely be able to win NaNo tomorrow!
Just reached 45,000 words! Only 5,000 to go!
Hopefully, I’ll win tomorrow, but we’ll see.
