picks him up! (:
his immediate reaction would be to throw a fit , to scream & struggle in attempts to free himself from unrelenting grasp . but that does not occur today — his usual lively spike dies with the early morning fog ; makes way for silent obedience & the yearn for touch . he is tired , drowsy — lolls head off to the side so that a cheek is pressed against peer’s clothed chest . he’s decided that he would die without noé’s reassuring presence ; he is a constant in his life , someone he has become accustomed to . ( it neither helps nor hurts that he has become the object of his affections either . ) he is glad he is someone of importance to him — even if such a concept only opens doors to the unthinkable . [ for all his arrogance , this is one thing he’s done right for once . ]
& maybe he knows about what’s going on — noé has always been perceptive ; has always been able to scoop out his feelings before even he knew about them himself . ( yes . he’s definitely aware . he knows he’s not feeling alright . his intuition tells him so . )
early morning ventures have never been his speciality . he is not one to readily get up before the sun makes its appearance . he’s not sure what brought this on [ perhaps it had been the shakiness of his walk , or the way he had blanked out & had fallen to his knees to collect himself in the middle of a paved paris street . ] but he’s glad noé had caught on to his unsteady gate eons before . he’ll blame it on his drowsiness if it becomes a topic of conversation — he is not yet ready to open up , that is something that will be coaxed out with time & even so it is not guaranteed .
tomorrow will be different , they’ll return to their banter & he will shove his emotions back into the pits of hell where they appropriately belong , but today he lets this be , if only for today .
