Moe’s is right down the street from The Avenue in Lakewood, and a stone’s throw in the other direction from Bird Town Liquor. Therefore, it exists here as a sort of transition track, as well as a throwback to the earlier sound of the band. Cascading voice memo guitars overtake the loop based on the last measure of The Avenue until it’s covered up by harsh noise recorded at the aforementioned May 2018 Noise Lunch. At the end, it all drops out and leaves a half-assed little beat made with a laptop mic to lead into Bird Town. It’s our favorite transition on the record, by far.

I named my donkey Orion bc I am a Pretentious Binch and also bc I thought the mental image of someone hearing that name and expecting like... a majestic steed instead coming face to face with the Best Donkey Ever was funny lmao

Shall I give you a little secret? The main reason that I didn't say it was a donkey right away and said something like "your faithful steed" was because I wanted people to think she was some magnificent beast!

Then I could imagine their faces when they realized they had named an old donkey Chaos or something, HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Junna is suddenly really good at archery: “wow Hoshimi-san where did learn how to do that?” “NOWHERE”

but man that’s a skill you can take with you for a lifetime, girls dig a girl who can fucking sword fight you feel me. This is why the headcanon that they continue to sword fight for funnsies even when they’re like in their mid 20s with children is completely accurate because you can’t just let those skills get rusty, gotta sword fight your friends in the living room and give their toddler a knife.
