A Mirio spin off.
Spoiler for the manga (a little) Mirio hangs around UA and his friends after all this. They haven’t found a way to bring his quirk back. For the rest of the manga so far, he’s a quirkless boy with a lost dream.
This series is almost based on a false premise—one that vigilantes actually fulfills, but not quite—can you be a hero without a quirk? Midoriya asks this of All Might in the beginning and he says no, very adamantly. The current storyline still hasn’t proven this wrong, and it’s doubtful it ever will.
But a spin off story that starts with the same question, emphasized by the idea that Mirio is a “fallen hero”, that he worked so hard and now has to give it all up; if Mirio challenges that idea by becoming a quirkless hero and changing the status quo—what could be more compelling than that?

Gotcha. I thought since Cain's sleep cycle was abnormal and plus I gather he's an anxious person, I had to ask about that. Yeah sleep paralysis can occur when either falling asleep or awakening. They're both different, waking up give you like you said the weird dreamlike state from REM while your body can move. And the falling asleep one is when your mind is aware of what's happening when your body falls asleep for the REM cycle. I had the falling asleep one happen before and that was scary. :X
Yes, he is quite an anxious person. Sleep paralysis is horrible alright. When I was interested in lucid dreaming I read that some people induce it with sleep paralysis and THEN I found people giving accounts on how sleep paralysis has given them nightmarish visions of demons and I was all ‘nope’. Never learned to lucid dream anyways.
Ok, that was beyond the point. Cain experiences paralysis after waking up. That’s that.
