Killugon and i cant decide between 22 and 46!😩
((Well I have kind of an idea for 22, shoot me another message if you want me to do the other one!))
22. “I’ve seen the way you look at me when you think I don’t notice.”
Another clear night out on Whale Island brought the two boys out into the warm summer air. With the waning half moon in the corner of the sky, the two lied upon Gon’s roof staring up at the stars above them. Killua had insisted they’d go view the stars since he wasn’t really able to see the clarity of the night sky from where he lived on Kururu Mountain. Almost every star in the sky could be seen out on the midnight blanket of the night. Killua let out a delighted sigh.
“Oh! And that one? I asked Mito what that one was. It’s the Big Dog! And over there is the Little Dog! And if you look closely, their owner is right over there!” Gon pointed up at a group of stars, eyes bright with amazement and joy. “He’s a Hunter just like us! Okay, maybe you’re not a Hunter yet but I bet you will be when we take the test again.”
“What’s that constellation over there? It kinda looks like a bear to me . . .”
“Oh! Yeah, Mito calls that one ‘The Great Foxbear’! I think it looks a lot like Kon. See, those are it’s ears, it’s tail and it’s mouth. And if you follow the tip of his nose, it points to the Northern Star.”
Killua laughed. “I know what that star is, silly! Who doesn’t know what that star is?”
Gon let out a contented giggle. “That’s just how I find it. It really helps when I get lost in the woods sometimes.”
The two smiled at each other, their hands going back behind their heads to relax and take in the stillness of the night.
“Gon, I love this. I love being here.”
“I love you too, Killua.”
He sat up, blush starting to make his cheeks rosy. “Wait-- I didn’t say that! Gon, what the hell are you talking about?”
“I said I love you too.”
“B-but I--”
“I’ve seen the way you look at me when you think I don’t notice.” Gon sat up, his tongue poking out of his mouth. “You love me, right?”
“I . . . wait, slow down. What way?”
“It happened the other night when we were looking at the stars. And you keep doing it. You keep pretending I don’t see you but I do. You look at me like this.” He placed his hands on his knees and gave Killua a wistful, longing look. “That’s the same look I’ve seen people give their husbands and wives and such.”
He shuffled, biting his lip and knowing his face was probably an entire shade of pink by now. “Come on, Gon, it’s not like that. We’re just friends, right?”
“Yeah but . . . I love you. Maybe we can be more than just friends?”
