Oh, so you’re offended by The Wiz huh?
So I’ll start my first blog post with some ignorance I saw today in regards to the live premiere of The Wiz that im sure a lot of you have heard about, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth.
So, apparently (some) white people are offended by how The Wiz has an all black cast, asking why couldnt there be an all black cast of the same thing...
Now if you have a similar brain to most people who have some common sense, you’ll realize a few problems with these statements.
1. There’s already an all white cast of “The Wiz” called The WIZard of Oz, hence the word WIZ in the title. If you did some background research, I bet even Wikipedia says in so many words that “The Wiz” is like the black version of The Wizard of Oz
2. Whyyy I mean WHYYYY is it that EVERY time black people get something that’s positive and specifically for US, white people wanna chime in with their 2 cents of fake oppression like why cant we just have our moment? Ya’ll have everything don’t you realize that? Black people are just trying to make up our own shit cuz we aint got shit! lol So why ya’ll tryna control our shit too?
