Decided to try chalk pastel out, to be honest I’m not a huge fan of it, I don’t like how easily it smudges and ends up EVERYWHERE. I drew a mug of tea because I’m trying to find symbols in my life and tea would be a huge one- documenting the changes in my life this is one that never changes and even though me and my friends are split all over Ireland now, the first we still do when we see each other is have a mug of tea and I like that, that hasn’t changed.

“NOW” PROJECT > showing how the memories we have “now” aren’t necessarily real. Deja Vu is my main focus now. Repeating memories (using photographs) to see how how certain events seem like they fit into a time or place that isn’t connected.

More experiments with Photoshop. I layered two or more pictures (all of which were taken from my camera roll from different times in my life) to show how false memories work. We put ourselves in places we haven’t been in reality because that’s how our brain fills in the gaps in our memories. I changed up the colours/opacity as well to form a glitch-like effect.
