Sunflowers and Song

Ekua and her granddaughter, Song, visited Colby Farm in Newbury, MA. Two acres of Sunflowers were blooming. It was beyond hot but they enjoyed the visual of Sunflowers stretching out to the horizon. Radiant, resilient, deeply rooted, following the light, beauty and planting seeds.

High Aspirations in Lower Roxbury

This summer Roxbury has gained new Sunflower friends of all shapes and sizes. Depending on the ground’s nutrients, the amount of sunlight it is receiving and how much space the roots have to grow, you might have a sunflower as long as Jack the Beanstalk or as small as a mice!
