Farmer Scene - Trial 1.
Here is our final animatic to give us a sense of timing and structure for our final film. We will be uploading the original versions shortly and our trial animatics and voice options.
Research into Health Benefits of Organic Food
Antioxidant Capacity
Antioxidants tend to have more of an impact when they come from organic foods.
No foreign chemicals to negatively interact with vitamins, minerals and organic compounds in organic fruits and veggie.
In prevention things like cancer, heart disease, premature aging, vision problem and cognitive malfunction.
Increase intake of nutritionally desirable antioxidants and reduce exposure to toxic heavy metals.
Heart Health
CLA is a heart-healthy fatty acid that can boost cardiovascular protection.
It is found in higher quantities in breast milk and in meat for animals that have been raised free range or cage-free.
Immune System
In animal testing genetically modified food showed a major reduction in immune system strength, an increase in birth mortality, as well as in certain sexual dysfunctions, cancers and sensitivity to allergens.
Unsure about the actual effects on human yet.
Antibiotic Resistance
Non organic food sources, particularly livestock, use antibiotics to to feed their animals.
This extra dose of antibiotics may weaken our immune system.
Reshaping out immune system for so many times that it will eventually be unable to defend itself.
This would not happen by intaking organic foods.
Overall Health
No chemical fertilisers are used in growing organic foods.
No chemicals to affect human body in negative way.
Better Taste
Organic food is often sold locally, resulting in availability of fresh production in the market.
It usually does taste better than produce that has been frozen, shipped and transport across long distances.
Environmental Safety
Ensure a safer and healthier world for for future generations to live in.

As eye-opening as "Blackfish" and as inspiring as "An Inconvenient Truth". A new cut from executive producer Leonardo DiCaprio now exclusively streaming on Netflix.
Go and have a look at these crazy facts. We dare you.
It was another source of inspiration for us.
Research into the Environmental Benefits of Organic Agriculture.
Sustainability in the long term:
Organic agriculture considers the medium and long-term effects of agricultural interventions on the agro-ecosystem.
It aims to produce food while establishing an ecological balance to prevent soil fertility problems or pest issues.
It takes a proactive approach as opposed to treating problems after they emerge.
Soil:
Nutrient and energy cycling is increased and the retentive abilities of the soil for nutrients and water are enhanced, compensating for the non-use of mineral fertilisers.
Water:
In many agriculture areas, pollution of ground water courses with synthetic fertilisers and pesticides is a major problem.
As the use of these is prohibited in organic agriculture, they are replaced by organic fertilizers (e.g. compost, animal manure, green manure) and through the use of greater biodiversity (in terms of species cultivated and permanent vegetation), enhancing soil structure and water infiltration.
Air and Climate Change:
Organic agriculture reduces non-renewable energy use by decreasing agrochemical needs (these require high quantities of fossil fuel to be produced). Organic agriculture contributes to mitigating the greenhouse effect and global warming through its ability to sequester carbon in the soil.
Many management practices used by organic agriculture (e.g. minimum tillage, returning crop residues to the soil, the use of cover crops and rotations, and the greater integration of nitrogen-fixing legumes), increase the return of carbon to the soil, raising productivity and favouring carbon storage. A number of studies revealed that soil organic carbon contents under organic farming are considerably higher. The more organic carbon is retained in the soil, the more the mitigation potential of agriculture against climate change is higher.
Biodiversity:
Organic farmers are both custodians and users of biodiversity at all levels. At the gene level, traditional and adapted seeds and breeds are preferred for their greater resistance to diseases and their resilience to climatic stress. At the species level, diverse combinations of plants and animals optimize nutrient and energy cycling for agricultural production.
The provision of structures providing food and shelter, and the lack of pesticide use, attract new or re-colonizing species to the organic area (both permanent and migratory), including wild flora and fauna (e.g. birds) and organisms beneficial to the organic system such as pollinators and pest predators.

During our first meeting, we discussed many potential routes to follow for this project. We had the initial idea of doing something about the environment, but thought that this topic was too large to cover in such a short period of time. In order to make our goals more achievable, we decided to focus on one smaller aspect of these environmental issues, instead of every single problem. We chose to focus on the issue of food, seeing as this is a global issue, we predict that in the future, humans will be 3D printing food to try and improve efficiency. Although, this my present new problems such as cancer risks, malnutrition and lack of access for the poor.
To resolve this issue, we predict that a group of Anarcho-Primitivists (AP’s) will attempt to start a movement in favour of organic food. Although, this will be known as ‘New Organics’ as naturally grown foods will be a thing of the past, so this will be considered a step backwards for many. ‘New Organics’ will be advertised as being healthier, more natural and a way of providing more jobs to people, as robotic 3D printers will have dominated the food and farming industries. On top of that, it will also be a way of fixing the polluted planet as the plant life will help clean the air, fertilise the soil and create habitats for animals.
