I was inspired by @thefoolishone666's NoxiousAir Ship (Mollie x Salem) and worked it in into the Mascot Savior AU! Also featuring Ellie now in full color!
Some facts on this version of Salem:
This AU follows the theory that Salem is the reason why the mascots are aggressive, as talked about in the last post introducing the AU. They didn’t mean for their friends to become monsters, however.
In the present, Salem has become a shadow of their former cartoony villain self, being now a paranoid and reclusive mascot that is obsessed with finding a cure for their potion that fucked the park. This went to the point where they now have noticeably dark eye bags under their eye and unkept fur.
Their fur is now also faded from the vibrant colors they used to have.
The cloak they wear is handmade and is they wear it for the aggressive mascots to not recognize them and attack.
Twitches a lot due to stress.
Bonus: *Salem is heavily flirting with Mollie* Rambley, watching from a nearby screen: Rambley: Is that even allowed under Indigo Park Guidelines? Ellie: Ellie: MY TWO NEW MOMS ARE FUCKING LESH GOOOOOOOOO-!

Some Indigo Park Mascot Savior AU Headcanons because I refuse to let the hype die!
Both Ellie and her mom are Costa Ricans, so you can expect to hear Ellie swear a lot in Spanish when she’s mad. I love this headcanon specifically because I can just imagine Mollie and Salem trying to learn Spanish from help from Ellie and Rambley.
A part of Salem’s daily errand schedule is to visit the little Kitty friend in the café. They feed them some treats they find around and give them cuddles. Ellie and Laura join in too, and they love the kiiityyy.
Sorry Lloyd fans, but the extravagant feline isn’t going to have much as Ellie and Co. are helping out a sea serpent.

Salem’s bunker becomes the headquarters of the crew and Salem is so fucking glad they’re not so alone anymore.
Ed definitely teases Ellie with being adopted by two mascots. But never in a mean way. He’s actually a bit jealous.
Mollie and Salem grow to love Ellie’s gentle touch and find it to be comforting after 8 years of being alone and god knows how much abuse.
Rambley is trying hard to repair the relationship/friendship between him and Lloyd but doesn’t know how to word it.

Yep, I officially made GL2 designs of them! Mollie especially was so fun to design! I have so many ideas and questions for this AU and I can’t wait to make more content with these three!
I headcanon that Salem still has moments where her old villainy ways come back and she gets into Chaos, especially with Mollie and Rambley lol.
I feel like Mollie would have the ability to chirp and sometimes even scream like a real Macaw or some other bird, and this idea is brilliant because imagine giving her a spook and she hits you with a scream out of your nightmares.

Premise: "Indigo Park was one of the most infamous parks on the face of the planet. Founded by Issac Indigo in the 1950s, Indigo Park was beloved by all ages by the high-quality thrilling rides and attractions that they worked so hard for. One of these young faces was young 11-year-old Ellie, who visited a lot with her mom and loved the great Avian mascot, Mollie Macaw. But when her mom passes from Cancer and a mysterious incident in October 2015 causes Indigo Park to be closed off and abandoned, Ellie is left without nothing much to do besides making Let's Play videos with her best friend, Ed. One Day, Ellie volunteers to return to the park after eight years to shoot a video for Ed, and soon encounters the lovable AI,Rambley the Raccoon. But that's not the only thing she finds... the other mascots are still walking around, covered in blood. after being chased by, saving, and teaming up with Mollie and the now reclusive villainy mascot Salem, Ellie ventures deeper into what really happened at the park to cause its sudden shutdown, and the true nature of the mascots' living situation during the park's time. Will she be able to save them all?"

And I was thinking about the lines that suggest that the mascots had abusive staff and everything, and it made it think up a little headcanon for the Mascot Saviour AU:
When Ellie/The protagonist first saves her, I would imagine Mollie seeing Ellie extend a hand towards her as she checks on her and Mollie would start flinching and start to panic (understandable, as the poor bbg deserved better). Ellie would have been the first person to show care for her in the long ass time since the park's closure.
The same would go for Salem here, with her being absolutely shaking when Ellie and Mollie find her in her lair/bunker.
Man, Ellie is really gonna be the Emotional Support child...
