“Not exactly... Xen is just not wanting to be nice and settle down. Think she’s just overstimulated. Is it cool if we try again later tonight sometime?”
“You know it is. Just send me a text if you get time.”
“Alright, I am really sorry but I know Rin wouldn’t appreciate me leaving her with a tempermental two year old.”
“Want me to move? I don’t have to sit here.”
“No, you’re fine. I don’t even know why I’m upset. This shit happens all the time with him.”
“Boyfriend?”
“Fuck no, I would have moved on a long ass time ago if that were the case. No, it’s my dad. We were supposed to have breakfast but of course it’s almost lunch time. He’s probably just hung over from yesterday’s shoot.”
“Well look who it is Navi, out in the wild even!”
“Hey Darla.”
“Hey brother. You doing okay? You’ve hardly left your room since you got here.”
Meh...
“A bar? At 11 in the morning?”
“No better time if you ask me, far fewer people. Besides most shooting days are long and it’s not uncommon for me to go to bed sometime in the afternoon. This is basically my evening.”
"Umm.. so.. I guess I have no reason to stick around here. You gonna try to wait a bit longer?”
“Probably.. I don’t know.. kind of seems like shit isn’t going to happen at this point.”
“Would you.. maybe want to get some lunch? Umm.. with me?”
“Hmm.. well I am hungry but I don’t really know you either.”
“Fair enough, my name is Wesley.”
“Andrew’s nephew? Would kind of explain a bit...”
“The very same. Do I have a reputation or something?”
“He says you’re kind of a dick.”
“Heh. He would say that.”
“I am sorry to hear that. Honestly I probably would have just left by now.”
“Yeah I should have but it’s not like I have anything better to do. He usually turns up eventually... So what about you? Getting ready to do anything fun? If you don’t mind me asking anyway.”
“Not really, just waiting on my cousin to do something. Not sure it’s going to work out for me either honestly. His kid didn’t sleep on the way here and both he and his wife seemed pretty fucking drained when I checked on them before coming down here. He keeps insisting it’ll be okay but I'll feel like shit if he’s just dragging the whole time.”
“Well that blows, I mean for like everyone. Seems like he doesn’t want to disappoint you.”
“Yeah... he can be a bit of a people pleaser. I’ll be okay either way though, ya know shit just happens sometimes.”
