Tyler narrowed his eyes at Danielle and the rest of the heroes. Vic stood towards the back, not looking at him.
"You do realize that, technically this is your job" he said coldly.
Danielle nodded. "I know... But things has been becoming a bit chaotic the last few days and we cannot be everywhere at once" she said, crossing her arms.
"Well that's a you problem, isn't it?" Tyler said sarcastically.
"NightAngel, dammit... Don't be a bloody moron and just help" Jack said, stepping forward.
Tyler rolled his eyes, at Jack. "I don't want to help you" he said "Seriously... I'd rather chew my own arm of"
Vic blinked at him, eyes wide. "That's..." she started.
"That's vulgar" Alley said, looking disgusted.
Tyler ignored her. "I really don't care" he said.
"Fine" Danielle said "What if one of us go with you?"
Tyler looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Now suddenly you have someone to spare?" he asked.
"Don't be difficult, Night" Danielle said.
"Hold on.... just take it easy both of you" Chris said, stepping between Tyler and Danielle "We're not here to cause more trouble, or fight each other... alright?"
"If that's what you say" Tyler said, narrowing his eyes at Chris.
"I'll go with you" Chris said "Will that be alright?"
"What... We actually need you to keep things under control" Jack said.
Chris sighed, before looking over at Jack. "Do you want to go with him?" he asked "Because then we will have to throw one of you in jail for murder"
Tyler snorted at that. "That would probably be me then" he said, earning a glare from Jack.
"Alright... you two please just stop" Chris said.
Tyler lifted his hands in surrender. "Apologies" he said, sarcastically.
Chris sighed. "Alright... Let's get this over with" he said "because I don't think anyone of us want to be here, in each other's company any longer"
"You're not wrong" Tyler said "Fine... I'll help you with your little problem"
Danielle smiled. "Thank you" she said "Chris can explain everything to you while you go"
Tyler rolled his eyes. "Seriously" he said, annoyed "That's really annoying"
Chris sighed. "Come on" he said "Let's go, NightAngel"
"Yeah, yeah..." Tyler said "Don't tell me what to do, you damn annoyance"
"Well this is going to be fun" Chris muttered, before he nodded to Danielle and the others "I'll see you guys later. Be careful"
"Of course" Danielle said, patting Chris on the shoulder before she turned and walked away.
"You're the one that should be careful" Alley and Jack said as the followed behind Danielle.
Vic just glanced at the two, before she nodded and quickly followed the others. That left Tyler and Chris alone, standing in the deserted street.

Something slammed into Tyler's back. The demon laughed in the back of his mind. He could feel the damn demon restricting his power. Not just that he felt so tired at the moment. They were in the middle of no where, having been swallowed by TRIP's portal and been spat out. Now they were stranded in what looked like the middle of a mountain forest.
He rolled to his feet, stumbling back a bit.
"Screamer?" he called out, looking around. He couldn't see the guy, and wasn't able to see what slammed into him.
His shoulder hurt from the attack. At least the armor stopped the attack from drawing blood, but it didn't stop the pain or the bruising. They would have to be careful, since they didn't even know where they were.
"NIGHT!" a familiar voice called out.
"Here!" Tyler answered, turning to the direction of the voice. He made sure to keep his attention on everything around him. He did not want to get hit again.
There was a moment when there was silence, before he heard the sound of someone moving through the trees. After a few more seconds Chris stumbled through the trees. His eyes flickered around, before landing on Tyler.
"Sup" Tyler said, before sitting down on the ground.
Chris blinked at him. "Are you alright?" he asked as he slowly walked over "Cause in the time we've been here, I've been attacked three times"
"Well they must have done a really bad job, cause you're still here" Tyler said, looking up at the other guy.
Shaking his head, Chris looked down at Tyler. "Are you alright?" he asked.
Tyler nodded and got to his feet. "Yeah... I'm just peachy" he said, looking around "Since we are in the middle of no where"
"Pretty much" Chris said.
"Do you know where we are?"
Chris shook his head.
"Then we should get moving"
"No duh" Tyler said coldly.
Chris took a deep breath. "Can't we just get alone?" he asked.
"I really don't care" Tyler said "I don't like you people... and you don't like me, so why do you keep on trying to work with me?"
"Because... We know you're not as terrible as you try and pretend to be" he said, looking around "This place creeps me out"
Tyler shrugged before he nodded.
With a sigh, Chris kept on walking. They barely made it five steps, before the ground beneath their feet moved.
The two stumbled.
Something slammed into Tyler from behind throwing him from his feet.
Chris spun to where the attack came from. His banshee wail ripped through the air. Tyler quickly turned as well. More attacks slammed into the shield he managed to throw in front of them.
"Where it is coming from?" Chris yelled.
"I don't know!" Tyler called.
The attacks kept on coming, from different directions.
Over and over and over.
It pushed Tyler and Chris back. They barely had time to attack, only having to focus on defending themselves.
"This is not going to end well" Chris called out.
"I bloody know!" Tyler snapped, before he threw an attack to where he through the attackers might be.
He caught Chris' shoulder pulling him back.
The ground beneath their feet disappeared without warning. Chris let out a scream as they fell. The skies turned and disappeared before everything went dark.
***
Tyler groaned. He tried to open his eyes, but everything in his body hurt. It felt like there was a weight on his chest. It took him a moment before he could remember what happened. His head felt like he'd ran into a wall at full speed, before being slammed into it multiple times.
There was a ringing in his ears and he could smell something like dirt, water and he could have sworn crushed leaves.
And then another groan reached his ears.
That's when he remember Chris.
Tyler struggled to open his eyes. When he managed to open his eyes, he couldn't really see anything around him. He coughed, trying to clear his throat so he could talk or scream or what ever he needs to do.
"...Screamer...." he gasped, still struggling to get his eyes to focus.
A groan sounded from his left and he tried to turn his head towards the sound. Pain ripped through his head and even his shoulders.
"...hey..." Tyler gasped again "...Screamer.... can you... hear me?"
After a moment, he could hear someone moving.
"...night?"
"...yeah..." Tyler gasped. He shut his eyes tightly before, trying to sit up. Pain tore through his back, taking his breath away.
"What... happened?" Chris' voice asked.
Tyler bit back a whimper at the pain. The ringing in his ears became worse, he could barely hear anything through it.
"...NightAngel.." Chris' voice managed to make it through the ringing.
"....shut... up" Tyler groaned.
Slowly he opened his eyes again. He didn't even realized that he closed them. In the back of his mind, he could hear the demon laughing at him.
Bastard.
"...Night...." Chris' voice said again.
Tyler carefully tried to sit up. His vision blurred for a moment, but at least he did not pass out again.
"...I can... bloody hear you... Stop... talking" Tyler muttered, trying his best not to get angry Chris. The other guy were just worried, hopefully that was it.
"...Right..." Chris said.
Tyler wrapped his arms around his middle. The suit took a lot of damage but that did not stop him from what felt like breaking a few ribs.
"You alright?" Chris asked.
"Just... give me... a damn... moment" Tyler groaned.
"....Just glad... you're alive" Chris said.
"..What... happened?" Tyler asked, glancing slightly towards Chris.
"I don't know..." Chris said and Tyler could hear him moving closer "But it looks like... we went of over cliff or something"
Tyler breathed out. That was pretty obvious what happened to them, but head just did not want to put things together at the moment. Not through all the throbbing and constant pain.
"Right...." he muttered.
He blinked up at the sky, trying to get his eyes to focus normally. He took a moment before he slowly sat up, pushing the pain to the back of his mind. Then he just looked around. His eye found Chris and he just stared at the guy with a frown.
It even took Chris a moment before he realized that Tyler was staring at him.
"What?" Chris asked, with a frown.
Tyler just shook his head slightly, before pressing his hand against his head. "You look... like shit...." he muttered.
"You can't talk" Chris said as he came over to Tyler, limping badly.
"Guess so" Tyler said "What's your... damage?"
Chris shook his head. "Pretty sure that I've broken my ankle" he said "And then just a few bumps and bruises. You?"
Tyler tried taking a deep breath, but the pain shot through his chest.
"Broken ribs..." he said as he coughed "Concussion.... sprains.... bruises"
Chris nodded and looked around. "We're not going to climb out of here...." he said slowly, studying everything around them.
Tyler looked over at Chris, slowly he pressed his hand over his arm. It hurt more than it should. There was painful throbbing in his arm. Obviously his armour missed that one.
Slowly he got to his feet. "We need to look around..." he muttered and Chris nodded "You shouldn't walk if it's not necessary"
"Alright..." Chris said, winching.
Tyler looked around, before carefully moving away. He could feel his ribs grinding against each other. It hurt so badly, breathing felt like a chore. He was sure that he could hear a slight wheeze in his breathing. After a while, he shook his head and started back to were he left Chris.
When he reached the other guy, he was feeling lightheaded. There was a rushing in his ears and everything kept on turning.
"Night?" Chris asked, looking up "Are you alright?"
Tyler leaned against a tree, trying to catch his breath. He just focused on the ground in front of him, ignoring Chris. It took him a few minutes before he manages to breath in normally.
"I'm fine..." Tyler said as he looked up for the first time.
Chris frowned. "Are you sure?" he asked "You don't look so good..."
Tyler just waved him away. "Fine..." he said "We can get... out that way... I think"
"You sure?"
Tyler nodded slightly, before he slowly sat up down, just holding his ribs. With every breath he took, a sharp pain shot through his chest. His breathing felt strange. There was a wheezing as he breathed. It felt like someone was squeezing his chest.
"Just... give me a few... minutes" he said, closing his eyes.
"Are you sure that you're alright?" Chris asked.
"Shut up" Tyler growled.
Chris sighed. "Look... I know we don't always get along, but seriously" he said "Why do you have to act like an asshole all the time?"
Tyler opened his eyes, narrowing them at Chris. "I don't like you... any of you" he said, before causing so he could take a breath "You are... narcissistic and self... absorbed... self centered, assholes" he breathed in again "Thinking you're better... than others.... Looking down on us..."
For a moment Chris just blinked at him. "Is that... really what you think about us?"
"Yes" Tyler said coldly, before he slowly got to his feet.
For a moment he almost blacked out, stumbling back against the tree.
"You alright? Chris asked.
"Fine" Tyler snapped at him, before pushing himself forward and start to where he came from.
Chris frowned, but did not say anything.
***
Chris limped next to Tyler, a frown forming on his face, becoming deeper and deeper. As they moving, Tyler's breathing started to sound worse and worse.
"I think we should stop" he said after a few more minutes.
Tyler glanced at him, nodding slightly. He started coughing. The taste of blood filled his mouth and he spit it out.
"Tyler..." Chris said quietly.
"Shut up" Tyler gasped, one hand gripping his shirt. He could hear the wheezing going through his chest. It was getting harder and harder to breath. Not even his eyes wanted to keep on focusing.
Chris sighed. "Come on" he said "Sit down... You're not breathing well.... Can I give you a check?"
Tyler sank down on the ground, his breathing struggling. "...can't... breath..." he managed.
"Alright.... Crap..." Chris said, before he quickly went over to Tyler, kneeling next to him "You need to take off your jacket"
"..right.." Tyler wheezed, it almost felt like he was being strangled. He tried to lift his arms to take his jacket off, but just could not find the strength.
Chris bit his lip. "Alright..." he said "Let me help you..."
Tyler didn't put up any resistance as Chris helped him to take of the jacket. It felt like a weight lifted from his shoulders. Chris quickly lifted Tyler's shirt, frowning at the blue and black bruising over the other guy's chest.
"Dammit Tyler..." Chris said, shocked "Why didn't you say something?"
"It... didn't matter" Tyler gasped, closing his eyes.
"Of course it matters" Chris snapped "You can't breath.... Probably has a collapsed lung, caused by a puncture from your ribs"
"hhhmmm.... sounds... about right" Tyler mumbled, struggling to keep his eyes open and focus on his breathing.
"What about your healing?" Chris asked "Why aren't you...?"
"..shut up..." Tyler snapped, with a bit more power than he spoke with before.
Tyler just shook his head.
"We need to get out of here" Chris said.
Tyler motioned to his chest. "You'll... have to..." he started, before a coughing fit overtook him.
Blood dripped down his chin and Chris quickly caught his shoulders when it looked like he was about to fall over.
"We need to get you out of here..." Chris said softly "You haven't been able to contact anyone?"
Tyler just slumped back. "No...." he said "Everything's..... static... Bell should be... able to track us..."
Kade sat cross-legged on the ground, in the middle of his cell. He could barely move. The light that surrounded the cell, had drained him completely of his strength. There was burns around his wrists and ankles and even around his throat.
“Kade” a voice said, making him flinch, but he didn’t say anything.
A shiver ran through his body and for a moment he tried to reach for his shadows and darkness, but it stayed just out of this reach.. The same was with his teleportation. They blocked him.
It annoyed him to no end that they managed to block him so easily.
“Kade” the voice said again.
Again he just ignored it. This time he closed his eyes, taking a few deep breaths. The lights brightened, and Kade barely managed to bite back a groan. He could feel his shadows screaming at him. They wanted to reach him, but couldn’t.
A shiver ran through his body and for a moment the wall tilted, before he realized what was going on. He just lay limply on the ground, barely able to move.
“Kade. If you don’t work with us, this will only get harder on you”
Kade clenched his jaw. Everything around him were hazy and out of focus as he slowly tried to sit up. His arms shook, barely had the strength to push him up.
“You are failing, Kade” the voice said.
The light pulsed and Kade let out a whimper, curling up into himself. His vision darkened, his ears started rushing and he felt cold.
A door opened, but he didn’t have the strength to do anything but just lay on the ground.
***
A cold settled over Kade and he wanted to groan or whimper or just do something, but his body did not want to listen to him anymore. After a moment it became hit. Something bright hit his eyes and he could feel the light burning his skin.
Hands touched him and he wanted to scream. It burned. It hurt. Everything hurt. He couldn’t breath anymore.
His body moved, but it wasn’t him that moved it. The hands turned him on his back. Someone pulled on his arms and a bolt of pain shot through him. He wanted to scream.
The kicking started. He could feel his ribs breaking, bruises forming all over his body, but he couldn’t move.
Everything went dark and he almost groaned with relief.
Hands grabbed him arms again, pulling him up. He was forced onto a what felt like a chair.
He struggled to open his eyes. There was a pale light around him. He could barely get his eyes to focus. Everything was blurred and confusing and he had no idea where he was.
Light turned on and he wanted to scream, but could only manage a quiet moan. Hands grabbed his wrists. Pain tore through his arms as something shut around his wrist.
The light from the shackles burned his skin.
A figure moved in from of him and he flinched back. The figure all but glowed, making Kade want to wither away and die.
It hurt.
The light in the room slowly became brighter and brighter. He closed his eyes, but a hand grabbed his face and hit him until he opened his eyes again.
“Where are they, Kade?” the figure asked.
Kade gasped. “No...” he managed to groan “Leave... them.... alone”
“Kade...” the figure said “You need to listen carefully. If you don’t tell me what I want to know. We are going to make things even worse for you”
“No...” Kade moaned.
The figure lifted his hand, it started glowing, brighter and brighter. He couldn’t close his eyes. The glowing fist hit him. Pain exploded behind his eyes. He couldn’t breathe. The light burned his eyes.
Pain overwhelmed him.
He screamed.
The pain tore through his head.
Everything went dark.
Darkness rushed forward.
Kade reached for it. It filled his senses, rushed through him.
And then he released it.
Screams and shouts filled the air. Everything around him were plunged into darkness. All the light disappeared. Pain echoed in the back of his mind.
Then everything disappeared.
***
Killian and Bell stood frozen.
This was where Kade were supposed to be. The entire building was in rubble. There was nothing left.
Bell stepped forward. “No....” she whispered.
Killian clenched his hands into fists. “He’s got to be here” he said through clenched teeth before he went forward, and started searching through the rubble.
Riley and Beck also showed up after a while. And even some of the third years, led by Curio, Shaun and Roland.
It took them hours before they finally found what they thought were Kade.
A dome of darkness in the middle of the rubble.
Bell bit her lip as she took a step back. This was not good. Not like any of Kade’s power at all. Killian clenched his jaw and stumbled forward through the rubble. As he came closer to the dome, it slowly started shrinking.
When the darkness completely disappeared, it only left a bruises and bloody Kade behind.
Killian knelt next to his friend, eyes going wide.
There was light chains around his wrists, still burning his skin. The familiar light burn, covered the side of his face, going over his eye.
He shook Kade’s shoulder slightly.
For a moment Kade’s eyes flickered open and he scream.
Killian quickly shrugged of his jacket and threw it over Kade, casting him in the shadows and the screaming stopped.
Bell just kept her distance. Now was not to time to come any closer to Kade. From what she just saw, he’d been tortured by light. She will have to keep her distance from him, until he’d recovered.
Riley and Beck quickly made their way over to Killian to help him.
“What the hell did they do to him?” Riley asked as he knelt next to Kade.
When they finally got him to the hospital, they treated Kade. The room they placed him in, was dark, all the window were blacked out.
Kade slowly felt himself coming back. His body felt numb. As he finally managed to open his eyes. It took him a moment before he realized that he could only see through one.
“Kade?” a voice asked and he flinched slightly, looking for the voice.
Bell sat next to the bed. “Hey...” she said softly “how are you feeling?”
He blink. “My head... hurt” he said, voice barely managing a whisper.
“You got hurt pretty badly...” she said, hesitantly.
“What... happened?”
“They tortured you with light.... and they...” Bel bit her lip, looking away.
“What else?”
“Destroyed... your right eye”
Kade sighed and just closed his eye. “Oh...”
“I’m so sorry... If we’d managed to get to you faster... that wouldn’t... Vynal would have been... “ Bell started sobbing “I’m so sorry...”
“It’s not your fault...” Kade muttered “I... I should have been...”
“NO!” Bell snapped “We shouldn’t have let you go out on your own! I should have come with you... but... I didn’t...”
Kade struggled to lift his hand, but he managed to reach towards her. “It’s not your fault...” he said again.
