I appreciate the little details in the new Pokémon anime, like how this is Renji’s desktop background.

Also I finally understood the line Gou says to Koharu.

“I thought you weren’t interested in Pokémon“, and I love what tone he uses lolol (especially the Kooohaaaru~). It’s the kind of tune you use to tease a friend who’s suddenly showing signs of their opposite trait. In this case, Koharu seemingly interested in Pokémon. Which she’s said to not be.

To which, Koharu says: “Shut up“. lol (And blushes out of embarrasment)

Y’know, I was just saying on twitter last week how I love Gou and Koharu’s dynamic and wished to see more of it, and this episode just happens to deliver on it??? What are the odds.

Subs are out, which I’ll watch tomorrow, so I guess there’s no more point in trying to figure out the dialogue. But like, my GoSpringshipper heart was happy with the scenes that happened between Koharu and Gou. There were also nice Bloomboltship moments (Satoshi and Koharu). (Reminder, I am neutral shipper, and mainly appreciate the character dynamics when I ship something, nothing more!)

Looking forward to understanding the episode to full degree tomorrow!

Pikachu is jealous guys! How. This feels weird considering his incredible bond with Satoshi but, oh my lord Riolu really is doing what I said as a joke: “This boi is mine now!“ Oh dear... Pikachu what’s going on sweet lil baby.. wait the scene where Riolu comes out of its Pokeball when Pikachu was ready to battle Galarian Kamonegi/Farfetch’d  in NS027 was a foreshadowing?!?!

August 2nd: NS031 - Hinbass and the Pretty Scale

Sota has come to Satoshi and Go for advice. He explains that his friend Nami is feeling bad because everyone keeps telling her her Pokémon isn't any cute. The Pokémon in question is a Hinbass, which is said to be the shabbiest Pokémon in the world. However, Nami and Hinbass aim to win the Water Type Pokémon Friendship Contest, since the truth is that Hinbass hides an amazing secret. August 9th: PM2019 032 - Celebi: A Timeless Promise

Three years ago, Go met a young boy named Tokio on a family trip to Hiwada Town in the Jouto region. Tokio was searching for the Mythical Pokémon Celebi, and the two kindred spirits decided to search for it together, but Celebi turned out to not be all that easy to find. The two of them parted ways, promising to meet up again the next day to continue their search, but Tokio never showed up at the spot they had promised to meet that day. Flash forward to present day, when Go once again visits Hiwada Town and ends up encountering... I reaaaaally hope this ends up giving background story to why Gou’s hesistant on making friends, because it sounds like a perfect scenario. If it does, I’ll probably end up liking the episode.

Sidenote, where is Iwane? This is the longest gap between Iwane animated episodes in a looooong long time, which is now 8 episodes? If I’m calculating correctly. Huh. He’s still active on twitter so he’s all well but... hm.

Just because Koharu helped Nami-chan with a Friendship contest and READ about what the contest is about does NOT mean she'll decide on pursuing that goal. NOTHING in this episode indicates that. It was far from May or Serena's episodes where they were shown VISIBLE interest in Contests and actually wanting to try it out. Koharu was shown interested in helping Nami-chan out because of how she's growing interested in the BONDS between Pokemon and trainer.

There. I said it. She'll soon find what she wants to do, and no this ep is not hinting at coordinator route. How would she even be doing it? In a series like this, she needs a goal that work with multi-region hopping. Right now there isn't any signs of world top coordinator. Which could become a thing next year if they choose so but I highly doubt it. So relax. Koharu isn't interested in Contests per say. Just the bond.

Nice to see a moment where Koharu was teased by her friend for once, and they did it so well! Also, The three way glare. If Satoshi looks at you that way, watch your step XD

jhgfhjsfg I loved that glare so much! Gou’s analysive nature was showing too much at that point, so the three were right to glare at him sajfhgsjhfg.

And yeh. I love that even Gou is able to tease Koharu and it’s not just Koharu who’s not afraid to have her say on Gou. That’s beautiful of their friendship! Clearly shows they’ve known each other for so, so long!
