sorry trilla and vader but he THE best villain in the star war. He's a lot of fun to watch! He's nuanced and has a shitty personal history and nonetheless he wakes up every day and decides to be the worst version of himself he can think of! He's a mess ❤

That idea Lucas had for the sequel trilogy. It's INSANE and it would have been a mess, but it's also a lot of fun imho

“The thing about the chips.”

17 stops, his right boot still half-unlaced. He looks at Fox on the bed.

“What?”

Fox isn’t looking at him but at the ceiling, his eyes flat. He has a hand tucked under his head, under the pillow--he’s grabbed the deecee 17 knows he keeps there. 

He doesn’t take it personally.

“The chips. They’re real.”

17 turns to look at him properly. Fox is still naked and dripping sweat, his too-long hair curling over his eyes. He’s still not looking at 17, and 17 scowls, leans over the narrow cot. He tugs at Fox’s chin until he lets himself be moved and he looks at 17, his jaw clenched.

“Of course they’re real, Fox’ika,” 17 tells him slowly. He knows he sounds condescending--he can’t help it. Fox blinks at him, slow and almost insolent. His face’s empty. “I don’t know what you want me to do about it.”

Fox’s mouth ticks upwards. He jerks his face out of 17’s hold and looks away again. 

Something drops to the floor on the other side of the door. Fox’s little room in the barracks is so quiet they can hear whatever it is rattle and roll, someone cursing under their breath.

Fox doesn’t speak again until the noise is gone. 

He shrugs. 17 hates the way he’s smiling at nothing, his eyes very far away. 17’s come is still drying on his stomach but it feels as if Fox were on the other side of the galaxy.

17 feels something sharp and bitter settle in his stomach. He looks away.

“Nothing at all,” Fox says.

Obi-Wan opens his eyes. The room’s dark, the tiny lamp he found in Anakin’s crate barely enough to illuminate their little corner. It lends the illusion of—privacy, of comfort. He blinks. He hurts, but it’s not—he feels good. Fett’s still half-asleep at his side, his back against Obi-Wan’s chest, and he’s warm. Every time he exhales his breath caresses Obi-Wan’s wrist, and by now his arm has fallen asleep where it lies under Fett’s neck, but Obi-Wan finds he doesn’t actually want to move.

He yawns. Last night feels like a dream. But no—it happened. It was real. Obi-Wan closes his eyes, genty leans his forehead against Fett’s—against Jango’s head. His curly hair tickles Obi-Wan’s nose, and he sighs.

He reaches out with his mind—Boba and Anakin are still asleep, their dreams troubled but stable. They will stay that way for at least a couple more hours. Dawn is still some time away, and the night feels both heavy and delicate at the same time: the room beyond their little bubble of warmth and skin is cold, and it’s so quiet Obi-Wan can hear Boba’s breathing on the other side of the half-closed door.

Jango twitches awake. Obi-Wan doesn’t open his eyes, and he stays where he is, his right arm under the man’s neck, his left cradling him against his own chest, their legs intertwined.

Jango’s thoughts change, from comfortwarmthdesire to nothing at all. It’s terrifying, how good he is at shielding his mind. Most non-Force sensitives don’t know how to marshal their thoughts like that, don’t even know that something like that can be done.

He’s terrifying. Obi-Wan sinks his nose in Jango’s curls and scowls.
