After years of suffering I think I may have found a piece to the puzzle.
I have a severe allergy to gluten.
I know people say it takes a long time for the gluten free diet to work but I can honestly say that I am noticing a difference the first week.
It feels like my head was lifted out of a fog. I'm concentrating better at work. My anxiety toned down. My itchy dry red skin has cleared up a lot. I need less sleep. I only puked once this week. I didn't even have to take ANY of my ginger root supplement for nausea this week. I went down an inch due to bloating. I'm honestly shocked!
Ever since I was 14 I'd have migraines everyday along with anxiety and depression. About 2 and a half years ago my symptoms got worse. I started puking weekly, which turned into puking daily. I'd have to go to the bathroom all the time. My headaches, depression, and anxiety made me feel so bad I wouldn't ever talk at school or work.
My limbs started to tingle and go numb. I started to get a terrible rash. The enamel on my teeth are so worn down. I also lost bone mass and got back problems. Suffered from anemia along with a ton of other symptoms. I was nauseous all day every day, dizzy and so tired I wanted to sleep all the time. I had cramps everyday, terrible bloating. I was a size 7 one day then the next day I'd be a size 11. My knees would swell up and pop. I was also getting sick every two months.
I was going to doctors for over 2 years about the way I felt. Everything came back normal and they said it was anxiety. I gave up and accepted the fact that it was normal for me to feel that way.
Last month I ended up going to the ER. The doctor said I was severely starving and malnourished even though I was trying to eat. I lost 25 pounds in 3 months. He mentioned celiac disease. It does run in my family.
I probably have other health issues but I'm glad I figured out a piece of the puzzle to my health. I haven't gone this long without a migraine or puking in years.
