Just had to remind myself that Undertale is still popular and it’s only my brain that gets super hyped over something new and then the feeling just dies.
I really want to move on from Homestuck, why is it so hard. I even try to think of something about HS that makes me happy and it doesn’t work.
A million years late to the thought but in elementry school I remember kids doing this thing, “circle, circle, dot, dot, now you have your cootie shot!” and drew on someones arm while saying that
was the cootie shot an excuse for children to draw boobs on their friends arms.
I dont know what it is but I get something out of imagining a character going on a journey like Frisk’s in Undertale but once they’re at the final door to the end of their journey all the determination that carried them through gets crushed by their mind suddenly deciding every positive moment they’ve experienced leading up to now is invalid for this or that reason and they just cant keep moving. All those friendships..... from people who were out to hurt them. All that kindness they freely gave...... would it have ruined eveyones happiness to have the right to be angry, how fair is that. Taking the journey alone almost feels like abandonment once attachments have been made.
The journey is at its end...... but not today, today is not a good day. It feels like mourning, but mourning what exactly
What kind of sucks about how much sympathy I feel for fucked up fictional characters is how I know I wouldn’t want to feel that way towards a real person, that in a fictional setting its so very important to me that everyone gets heard and gets a chance to be saved from whatever they are going through but in the real world I tell myself its not my responsibility/problem and walk away from it when I see it.
Likely because self preservation is a high priority and if something goes wrong in a fictional setting I can just complain about the direction it took rather than being in danger myself, but I still don’t like the hypocrisy in me.
Going to youmacon this weekend.
I think I’m almost completely over homestuck now. I can’t even feel anything when I see things about Gamzee anymore.
When my feelings for a fandom are like an endless void that’s when I can finally find something else to get into.

Since last year a few people were interesting in knowing when my birthday was without me saying like the night before, it’s on the 23rd of this month.
