αφήνω = to let (imperative 2 pers. sing.: άσε)

τα χρόνια = years

περασμένα = past

παραπονεμένα = (the songs are) about feeling dissatisfied, unjustified

o κόμπος = knot

η χαρά = joy

στάλα στάλα = drop by drop

δροσίζομαι = to cool oneself

ο χρόνος = time

ο ήλιος = sun

ο κεραυνός = thunder

στήνω καρτέρι (σε κάποιον) = to set an ambush (on someone)
