Afiya: You are correct. I did not speak those words but I'd hoped you learned it through my actions. I did not intervene when you left home. I kept Xius here. Afiya: You have done more than enough by simply existing... I will not attempt to discourage you from moving through Kǂahelohim. I will keep trying to persuade Lady Ravendancer to reveal that realm's existence to all nebulas but - Sumire?

Aether manipulator - Sumire Nebula: I got you. Don't go with that sim that's only thinking of fuhooin' you all the time. He's a useless Protector in that realm.

Afiya: Thank you, Sumire.

Protector Merdaniel: I disagree.

Sumire: So you understood? Good to know you're finally retaining our language. But I can name at least 143 hedonic spirits that will find you and keep you at the gate. And that's before Petitioner Hyperion can even offer you more appropriate divine beings.

Afiya: A strong resolve is necessary, Zuri. Sumire is willing to go. And in the stars, I see water waiting for you. I do not know if that is Merkenneth.

Chapter 3.4

Oxypin. The element I have heard Delta insult and compliment the most. It's abundant in the amethyst crystals that we nebulas ingest and the punium building materials that can withstand Sixam-015's atmosphere.

Xenopetrium and crytacoo. Oxypin and firaxium. Volenton and melacoo. Alcineat and selium. I work with the pairs because I need one to entice the other. Oxypin refuses to answer my call but I feel every pixel of rare firaxium vibrate when I move. When I create a star or try to create a sixam, firaxium races to the tips of my fingers and attracts every stubborn trace of oxypin in it's path. And now this divine being

has suggested -- I mean commanded me -- to focus on oxypin to release my sister from a callisto's core? I have asked her to show me the way but I see that which I cannot control. Clusters of blue beyond my reach and I sense no firaxium here to help rein them in. But look at the xenopetrium! If only I could use it to subdue oxypin in the same manner as firaxium. I could... but I can't.

And what are those voices? Those whispers that assault my ears like the lullabies Merdaniel uses to disintegrate ghosts? I want to get out of here. Please, [redacted name]. Tell me what I need to know and give me my sister so I can leave this realm.

Chapter 3.2

Is this the same Kǂahelohim as before? I remember darkness and faint voices that sounded like lullabies. This is different...

Divine being Gabby: Well, well, well. Look at the busybody. You just cannot mind your own business, can you, sister? [Former divine being] Sumire: I guess my sister-in-law is my business sometimes. Chapter 3.6

"Now that you understand what is needed, why don't you ask Moji, Simzuri? Or your husband?" A valid question from my sister that I'd rather not answer.

"I'm already here with you." And I came looking for you because a part of me always knew I could never do this without your type of coding. "Now, what is your connection with that divine being? What exactly do you have that I do not, Simnekro?"

I do not think she intends for all of her smiles to look sinister. But as the corners of her mouth curled up, I could feel the code from my paranoid trait overriding all my confident moodlets. "I could ask you the same thing, little sister. She is not the one that put me here and most divine beings would not interfere with another one's plans. Why are you worth the impending dispute?" Her voice is worse than her smile.

"I do not think there will be a dispute."

"Oh, there will be. Kǂahelohim has a hierarchy and my freedom will anger the one at the top."

"Kenny's Elohim? Kenny says -"

"Kenny says? You do not know his Elohim or the divine being that freed me? How can you move through Kǂahelohim so freely?"

"Well, which do you know?"

"All of them. They were all familiar with Grim and now with me. Some commune with me more than others. All of their created things need an end. I will always be like a pet on a leash but I will enjoy the leeway that you've gotten me."

"What do you mean? All created things need an end? You are not a Protector. You do not handle sims' death."

"Death is completion and a new beginning, sister. Prolonged suffering is an end."

Prolonged suffering? "I don't understand."

"I think you do." That smile. That smile makes my paranoid trait scream at every pixel in my body. "For a terrestrial core, you need to be able to live without living. You need a survival energy that Simzuri Nebula does not have."

"That is not true. I am a nebula. We are both nebulas. We survived on the most unfit for life sixam. Most occults cannot live how we lived on Sixam-015."

"Nebulas thrive wherever we're planted, Zuri. There is a difference. We were given a dark and dusty sixam and we placed our own light in the sky. We eat crystals like fruits when the core refuses to sprout trees. You need to make a new sixam because we do not need to flee to another occult's home to survive, we carve out our life as we see fit where we are. That is not survival energy. That is a burning giant. You are meant to be the burning giant that brings a simulation into order. These sixams are quite frankly beneath you."

"And you? You are as much as a nebula as I am."

"Am I? You are Xius and Cassiopeia's offspring. I am Grim Dreamer's child. I know in my head what I deserve but my heart tells me that I am only as good as dreamer-sixams and savefiles. Survival energy. But with a longer leash, I am happy to help you with a terrestrial core that is blessed by [redacted name]. My bondage will nurture the sixam in the ways that your freedom cannot."

"I do not understand."

"You will in time."

I will in time? Seriously? What are my sister's traits? She speaks as if she is full of despair but her moodlets are not strong enough to disclose her traits to me. What does she truly desire? Why does she claim to have survival energy when all I see is peace of mind?
