oh, but there are so many buttons. so many wires ( too many wires ). just staring at them all was simultaneously giving her a headache and making her hand tingle. for a second there, she gives the man a hurt look, as if his words had cut deep. she frowned like a child. next to her thigh, her hand was twitching.
toby really shouldn’t be there. like, really. she has no idea what any of these wires do and she’s honestly not afraid of touching all of them. not in fear of getting in trouble, just because she doesn’t know if one of them is rigged to shut down the whole building. i mean, computers work like that, right?
she also knows that pritchard isn’t dumb - quite the opposite, actually. but she loves the face he’s making. it’s so… scrunchy. taking a step forward, she tilts her head to the side, trying really, REALLY hard not to smile.
❝ well, i’m thinking about it. ❞

👰 Would my muse ever get married?
toby doesn’t see any sort of marriage in the future, mostly because of how many failed relationships they’ve already gone through, lmao.
whenever they were a little kid, they definitely looked forward to being married, and then that dream kind of died off when they hit their teens because they figured they’d live a free life. and now, they don’t necessarily find marriage awful, because it takes a lot of commitment and love to hold something together for a long time, but they don’t see it as being for them.
they do enjoy weddings in theory, have visited plenty past weddings, and love shows like “say yes to the dress”, but marriage isn’t for them. part of it stems from the fact that they’re from a broken family that experienced a nasty divorce in their early twenties.
👎 Would my muse ever cheat on their partner?
and the magic eight ball says: NOT LIKELY.
well, to be completely honest, there was one time that they did follow through with the temptation and cheated, but they’d never do it again (even though it definitely could happen again; you don’t just get out of doing that), and so far they’ve kept that up.
if they like the person enough and feel like they’re worth the effort (and boy they gotta like that person a lot), they’ll try to voice the issue and talk it through, which has always been a, uh... delicate subject. so, they either talk it out or just end the relationship right there, because in their mind it meant there wasn’t a reason to stay.
but, toby also hasn’t been on the dating scene in a while, so who knows what would happen.
