In Search of the Sun

I stand in the dark hoping for some light

But it will not come, forever stuck in the night

You possess the light the one thing that I need

But you keep it away because of your greed

I lurk in the shadows and the stories of the sun

I still desire that light but my hope’s almost gone

You force me to stay in my pit of black

Taunting me with your light, reminding me of what I lack
