The World of a Nuclear Physicist

Nuclear Science may sound very different and “fancy” to many. However, in today’s times, it is a vital and highly demanded profession. The good news is that an array of Rajasthan’s B.Tech institutes and colleges of science and technology in India provide incredible courses in Nuclear Sciences.

So, what does a Nuclear Physicist basically do? The role of a Nuclear Physicist is to use physical laws and theorems to study and research the movement and spatial operation of particles in an atom's nucleus. The majority of Nuclear Physicists are employed in fields such as energy, electronics, aerospace, communications and/or healthcare. They are vital for medical laboratories and are credited for the designing of practical applications using nuclear physics.

In order to qualify for the designation of a Nuclear Physicist, an aspirant requires an advanced degree in nuclear science, nuclear chemistry, particle physics, nuclear structure or mathematics from a reputed college. Once they graduate, they can enhance their knowledge and resume by opting for further studies such as Masters or PhD in the corresponding subject(s). However, specialization in the branches of Nuclear Physics subjects like atomic, molecular or superconductivity may be required in some jobs.

After graduation, aspirants can opt for one of numerous jobs associated with Nuclear Physics. Some of these include jobs in the private sector, public sector, governmental companies, various governmental departments of science and technology; they can also assist their seniors in the field to add more impressive qualities and capabilities to their resume.
