1. What kinds of celebrities are included here?
Any kind - actors/actresses, directors, authors, comedians, musicians, athletes, politicians, activists - any public figure.
2. I recognize a celebrity from a certain role or what they’ve been in/what they’re known for, but I don’t know their name. How should I vote?
In this case, because these are very non-scientific and non-serious polls, you can vote for either of the “I know who this is” answers. If you recognize them as “someone famous” but don’t know what they’re famous for, you can vote for the “they look familiar” option.
3. Why haven’t you responded to my submission?
I don't directly respond to submissions, but they are all put into the queue.
4. Why aren’t submissions open?
I am still working through the previous batch of submissions.
5. Is there any way to see who has been posted?
Yes, you can look at this Google spreadsheet. I try to update it daily but lately it’s been every couple of days due to being busy with work. You can also search the “named” tag here on this blog.
6. Is it forbidden to say who the person is in the tags or replies?
No, I don’t care - I figure I’d rather not police the comment/reply section (unless people are being horrible).
7. Will you ever tag posts with the name of the person?
Yes, every couple of days days I go through and tag posts with the answers when they have less than 24 hours left of the poll being active. I used to do it every day but I don’t have the time anymore.
8. I don't recognize anyone, I'm faceblind.
Yes, a lot of people have also said that.
9. Why is there an option for "nuanced answer" when it hardly ever gets used?
Because.
10. Can you reblog the posts with the answers once people have been named?
I don't really want to do that because: a.) It would be very time consuming, and b.) It makes things messier and harder to find the polls that are still active. However, all posts that have been updated with names are tagged with "named" so you can scroll through that tag to see the answers.
