Pretty much everything about Davenport is straight up disturbing/intriguing... Like, if you look at all the Grand Relics and deduce who made what, then it turns out that Davenport made the Occulus. Then, what sort of magic can he do? What sort of person was he to create something that manifest literally anything from pure imagination? Was he really good at motivating others as a visionary leader, or was just a really imaginative person who loved to daydream?

It’s interesting to consider. The Oculus was from the Illusion school of magic, which D&D gnomes are often connected to (which I know largely because my D&D character gets Minor Illusion as a bonus cantrip.) So the connection might be as simple as that, BUT THAT’S NO FUN, LET’S WILDLY SPECULATE.

My question is this--Lucretia said that his life was so tightly intertwined with their mission that he had to have almost everything erased. So what does that say about the sort of person he was?
