What’s the deal with stars and moons in Elden Ring?

extraordinarily unclear. im sure other people have deeper connections and an understanding for this, but i have never been able to figure out what the hell anyone means when they say the movement of the stars impacts fate.

at the very least, stars contain life and in that life is magical power. that's how glintstone works. the carians latched onto the moon as a celestial body and object of worship/study, which was considered unorthodox until the carians came into power. there are two moons at least, and they are something resembling gods in the same way, perhaps, that the "fell god" was once the sun (this makes for some interesting contrast between ranni's dark, icy moon and the bright, hot sun). albinaurics worship a crescent moon, which is not visible to the player at any point in the game, but appears on the clock on the bottom of the screen, cradling the moon itself.

highly controversial take time: when rennala's full moon is referenced, it is often hand in hand with some variation of the word "bewitching" or "enchanting"...could this mean that bewitching is more common than previously believed?

i love how much everyone hates this guy lol. i think its an ok fight. fromsoft resuses bosses all the time so idk why this one got people all pissed off. i think a plausible plot explanation for him is just that it establishes that breaking the taboo of grafting wasn't limited to godrick and that it turns out godrick, on top of all of his other faults, has never had an original idea in his life.
