All dogs have been spayed or neutered, updated on shots, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed; and come with a DWB ID tag!** How can you not fall in love instantly with Bobby? Just look at this adorable face! He is a wire haired terrier/dachsund mix who is about 3 yrs old, weighs 25 lbs, and he is one of our most special dogs at DWB! Ever been through some hard times? Well, this sweet boy understands, because he’s been through them too. Through no fault of his own, Bobby has been in foster care for his entire young life, and, more than anything, he wants a forever home with someone who will love and care for him the way he loves and cares for his people in return. Bobby’s home must have a yard. For the time being, we think he should be the only dog in his forever home without cats or kids. He has bitten before but is doing much better now but he does need an experienced owner who understands dog body language and is willing to do some training with him on guarding issues. Bobby will greet you with joyful kisses when you come through the door every day, and he is a great walking partner. Nothing gets him more excited than to see his leash come out. In fact, he will carry it to you in his mouth to say, “Please, let’s GO!” If you can walk and play on a schedule every day then this is your boy. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to run and play with them. A fair amount of stimulation, fresh air, and exercise are essential for his health. He takers a daily supplement for IBS. No other treatment needed. He is crate trained, housebroken and comes when calls. He’s an all around great dog! Bobby does resource guard his food, toys and also his owner but he has been working on both and this very intelligent dog learns quickly.
