Kettle Korn: Poppin’ Fun All The Time!

If I were to star on my own movie, it would be about discovering the world one plate at a time :)

I admittedly am a foodie and I love trying lots of different food whenever I go to a foreign land. I imagine myself going out of my way even for hole-in-the-wall finds.

I know being a movie star is still a long shot, so for now I'll be enjoying the movies as part of the audience. WIth a Kettle Korn in tow, watching movies is poppin' fun all the time as it provides extra enjoyment with every bite. I personally love sweet n' salty twister :D

The Nuffnang Pool Party 2013

Last Saturday, as it might have been obvious in my Instagram, we had the Nuffnang Pool Party in Manila Polo Club. We invited our talent pool to come in their summer fashion to enjoy an afternoon of bonding with the Nuffies. 

Most of us went to the Best Food Forward first before heading here, so as we got to the place, we were greeted by these pretty early birds... and a sumptuous afternoon buffet. Yay!

Here is a semi-complete shot of the Nuffies. (UGHHH. WHY THE HECK DO WE NOT DO A COMPLETE NUFFNANG SHOT ANYMOREEEEE!! Parati nalang!) 

I just loooooove love loooove our bloggers and their craziness. That again is a semi-complete shot of the bloggers because there were ones who came in late. (Fashion bloggers had to prove their being fasyon, right? #fashionablylateLOL.)

And because cool girl Abby is super cool, this just has to be in my post. :))

Honestly, at first, I was like, "Why can't we just chill in this place? So much food and fruits and the weather's fine. Are we seriously seriously gonna play a game?" And I wasn't being corny or anything, I was just in an eating and chill mode. And then when the games started, I was just reminded how real, kalog and crazy these bloggers were. We could actually make them do anything! So everything turned out to be suuuper funny and fun. 

"The boat is sinking group yourselves according to the number of ex boyfriends!" "Hoyyy! Tatlo lang?? Sinungaling ka!"

Crazy bunch.

The third game was a relay game. Volunteers were divided into two groups. 

Here's group one with macho Abby, Pinoyfitness.com, Jeromeacheta.com, Calvinshub.com and Takbo.ph. Later, I'll show you a funny photo of group two.

I was stationed in the last station, so I basically missed all the math problems (first station) and hoola-hoop (third station) fun in their area. But even at 50 feet away, I could see what they were doing and I was laughing there alone like an idiot. :))

Here's David with the blowing of the cup with powder game. TOWTAL ESPASOWWLLL. I later dared him to post his whole look as an OOTD, to which he did. "Aviators from Rayban, shirt from Topman, foundation from Ever Bilena," he said. HAHAHAHA! Mahirap palang i-dare tong si David. Pumapatol.

After that was just chill. We just continued eating...

...bonding (If you were a domesticated animal, what would you be? LOL)...

and of course, drinking.

We also swam when we realized how much we were missing by not dipping in the pool. As usual, I did my own I'm-just-floating-here-and-staring-at-the-sky-don't-mind-me moment. And Mikael, Abe, Trixie, Megan, Abby, Marianne and Miguel jumped from the diving board, swam a bit, back, ran back up, and did the whole process like twenty million times. 

With @gerdperez, @davidguison and @mikocarreon, who allowed me to see what's within their souls. Hahahaha! #FAKEpersonalitytest

Ass we end this post, let's just give a moment of silence for the Havaianas that was stolen right at this very spot. UGHHHHHHHHHHH. (Thank you Marianne for saving me from the hassle of going home barefooted and lending me your extra sandals. I thought I'd seriously walk without shoes from the pool area to the parking lot.)

And yeah. I just really love our quality bonding times like this, where we don't push a brand or ask them to tweet or blog, or give them anything. Chill afternoons where we're made to just go crazy, have fun, bond and forget about the world. <3 Made me realize that I don't just love the Nuffies, I love the community--the whole Nuffnang family. :)

Featuring the Nuffnang Art Wednesdays

Oh my gosh, I miss blogging. Every since I committed at the start of the year to blog thrice a week, something in me just reminds me to write before I hit the sack. But over anything, the pillows always prevail. But not tonight. (UPDATE: I guess I wasn't able to hold myself for long. Fell asleep somewhere here while writing. Again, while writing.) Before it becomes irrelevant, let me share with you the Nuffnang Art Wednesdays!

(I drew that in my Doodle Buddy app in my iPad and displayed it one NAW. People then were like, “Omg did you make that? Niiiice! I’ll take a photo.” HAHAHAHA! See how appreciative the Nuffies are over simple things!)

So Art Wednesdays is what we do to exercise creativity in the office. It’s also our way to bond without having to talk about ads or bloggers or mere work. :) Now JSYK, this really is a Nuffang thing. Though I haven’t heard anything about Arts Wednesdays in the other region, what I do know is that they have Fitness Fridays (like in Nuffnang Malaysia), where they all leave early for work to have a game of squash. (In one big regional group email, you’d see one say “OOOOOOHH IMMA BEAT YOU IN SQUASH LAH!” Lol lol lol.) We do NAW every other Wednesdays. Every session, there would be two Nuffies assigned to organize the activity. They also have a small budget to buy the materials needed for that specific session.

(The first Nuffnang Art Wednesdays where we made pencil holders. Hosted by Thei and AJ.) We call this many names, like Nuffnang Art Wednesdays (#NAW), Artsy Fartsy Wednesdays (#AFW) or Nuffnang Wednesdays (#NNW) --for days that we wanna do something else like far from the normal art activities? :)) Next, I know what you’re thinking. “Do these guys still work???” OF COURSE WE DO!!!!! If I can just show to you my long TTD list everyday. We do work, but we do this for relaxation. From half an hour to an hour and a half on a Wednesday, we take time to restart our senses and to unleash our creative sides. The community department reminds us of this the day before so we can manage our scheds better. “Okay. Punta na sa conference room. Artsy Fartsy Wednesdays na.” our boss would call out. “WAIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!” Everyone that are cramming some unmanaged urgents would beg. Always the scenario. Always. (UPDATE: This is where I fell asleep. Hello! It’s a good morning now. Hahaha!)

(This is the second NAW where we transformed our old loose shirts to loose racer backs. Perfect for gym use. To inspire us to workout this year daw. LOL. This one was hosted by Trixie and Mar.)

The third NAW, which happened on February 13, was hosted by me and Denise. We were thinking of either doing face masks (out of plaster, yes) or designing cupcake icings. And the latter, we did. Nuffnang Art Wednesdays, Episode 3 - Cupcake Design

Before we called everybody to the pantry, we had to prepare for the icing first. So complete with ingredients (butter, confectioner’s sugar and milk) we mixed it with a mixer. Hahaha! I brought mine from home. LOL.

This was how the batter looked like when it was almost done.

When we’re done, we had a fifteen minute break to attend to the emails with the letters A S A P. Hahaha! After that, we called everybody!!!

I fixed the kitchen to look really really clean and inviting for the Nuffies. And I looked for a cupcake inspiration and displayed it in my iPad. So sooo cute!! :))

The Nuffnang Crazy Team in Art Action!!!!

It’s so funny that when we were shopping for ingredients, we forgot about the three basic and primary colors! We ended up snatching just the blue, yellow and GREEN food coloring bottles. Major fail. Hahaha!

Now you ask, where in those is mine?

I am super not proud of mine, but fine. People say it’s not bad anyways. This cupcake shows how a person has a tendency to use all the colors and ingredients in front of her, when available. Looking at it kind of reminds me of the cupcakes in the nearby bakery. The cheap ones.

“Pabili!!! ‘Te magkano yung cupcake na yun?” “Twelb pesos ‘te.” Hahahaha! Dammit! Not only is it already full of colors, but when I saw the sprinkles, I decided to use them too. “It looks so scary. It looks like a fly-trap.” said Harvey, one of the guys here. I think fly trap is worse than calling it a cheap cupcake. Oh man, I pity myself. Hahaha! — As of writing, it’s actually my 2nd birthday in Nuffnang. So… Happy birthday to me! And I can’t wait for the next NAW/AFW/NNW!!!!!! :)

Last October 5, C, S, and I went to the Taken 2 screening sponsored by Nuffnang Philippines and Kojie-san Men.

United we stand, divided we rock. :)) #NuffieChallenge

Excuse my overuse of the word crazy, but really, everyone around me is crazy nowadays. But if you make me put them all in ranking, Nuffies would most definitely top the list. 

What I love about this group is how everybody just seems to be competitive (in a healthy way of course). Put anything at stake, and we'd all run our asses off putting our most gorgeous game faces on and rock it. So of course, our managers took advantage of that and grouped us into three in our year-end team building and strat planning.

After the big pool jump, we just forgot about the whole amazing race theme and decided to have our long-awaited RnR. That night we also had a sort of Fear Factor where we were made to eat whatever dish was on the plate. But on my account was balot so fear factor my ass! I CAN EAT TEN OF THAT. Hahaha! :))

And it just got better with the one above. :)) Crazy planning with the crazy essentials and the crazy people. OOOHLALA!

Next day was stat planning proper. :) All with refreshed minds from the previous day. Of course, we put our game faces here on as well. :)
