Never a hungry night in their home, and never a doubt for how to make ends meet. 🦾 Production fun facts: This sign used to look a lot different, falling more in line with the cyan caste's theme of letter-based headwear. It was specifically for the letter O, but it felt awkward having a major letter be part of the artificial set of signs, so I moved its original design to another aspect and created this design in its place (utilizing circles as a nod to its original purpose). In an artificial sign's typical genre defiance, this sign is modeled not after headgear but after a mechanical limb.

#579: A sign for those lost within the ruinous catalogs of time, forever shuffling between shelves of the past. However, there's always a time and place for those gifted with a long memory. Within the Verse, this sign has a...complicated history. Historically, the robotic Dolls were built as a designated worker class who were largely owned and maintained by industrial corporations as a labor source. Pivotal in both the maintenance and suppression of Dolls in this time were "doll inspectors", who would frequent both the factory floors and doll residential sectors in order to repair any mechanical failures (including the removal of unauthorized modifications) and "repair" any faulty thought processes they caught wind of. While such practices have been firmly outlawed for decades, many dolls still vividly remember the dolls' Dark Ages with jolts of fear and ire. Each inspector carried a hexagonal badge with them, which this sign is modelled after. This sign's inclusion during the process of ironing out the dolls' slice of the hemospectrum was a highly contenious one. Its inclusion was intended to reappropriate a symbol so many had feared for so long - meant in the style of "you, who watched over us, must be observed and judged in turn" - but many others believed doing so simply gave validation and power to their former oppressors. Both sides eventually came to a compromise, but the sign continues to spark arguments well into the modern day.

A stitch loose, a button popped, there's simply too much in their head and they need to let the rambling chaos loose by any means (and to anyone) possible. The "Y" shape in the middle of this one is both the flathead many of the non-Null rubies sport combined with the "fork" that many others have (though usually at a narrower angle).
