Time didn't really exist in the void. Or at least it was nearly impossible to keep track of, to the point where it might as well not exist at all. So Null had no way of knowing how long it'd been that he cycled through the same few menial activities. He'd wake up on the cold, unyielding ground that was as pitch black as the rest of this place and collect his treasured purple blanket. Then he'd go for a walk, picking a direction and just trying to see if he could find something, anything, in the unending sea of darkness that surrounded him. He never found anything except for once, and that was a very long time ago. He was starting to think he would never find anything again. Eventually he'd find his way back to where he started, and sit down to try and occupy his thoughts before inevitably falling asleep once more.
It was sitting there at his little "hub" area where he could be found right now. This was the only place in the entire void where the monochromatic color scheme was broken, splotches of color dotting the ground where Null had painted rudimentary pictures in a couple of places with gifted paints that had long since been used up. He was keeping himself busy by trying to find different ways to fold his blanket and make interesting shapes. Progress seemed to be slow, but that just meant he needed to concentrate harder!
