Do you think the aliens were really necessary in AHS Asylum ?
I'm not sure I really enjoyed that part, even if I usually like the sci-fi genre...
After all it's American HORROR Story, not American ALIEN MISTERY Story, maybe they should have made them more monstruous or blood-thirsty...
There's still an interesting theory I've read on some website about using aliens as a metaphor for religion; but why would you bring aliens into this story as the inexplicable beings who worship a pure-hearted human and his offspring ? Wouldn't angels be more appropriate, considering the fact that the Angel of Death AND the Devil are already part of the game anyway? And why would you show us what the aliens looked like, we were left with no choice but accepting it's aliens and not some kind of angels.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but I feel like it was just too much for one season. Serial killers, slutty nurse, exorcist, possessed people, corrupted priest, mad scientist, failed experiments turned zombies, weird microcephalic girl-woman, angel of death, divine children, oh and I almost forgot the nazi plotline... WHY ALIENS ON TOP OF THAT, WHY?
