The trailer showed us that Lute’s philosophy, morality and reason for existing is very simple.

Good and evil doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. There is no angel and devil. Only Adam. If Heaven doesn’t care about Adam, then Lute doesn’t give a damn about their stuck up rules. Since the demons in Hell killed Adam, Lute will destroy every sinner and hellborn throughout the Seven Rings of Hell. The only true God Lute believes in, was Adam.

Okay so, anon? This whole ask was downright poetry and I’m SO here for it. I agree so hard with this analysis oh my god, it’s simply such a devastatingly beautiful way of viewing Lute’s internal moral code. I truly do believe that if Adam were to become a sinner, Lute wouldn’t see him any different (other than objectively-speaking.) But, point is, that’s Adam. HER Adam who she’d kill for any day even if he were to become a sinner.

When he’s gone, she spirals, because he was her guiding force—-the very thing that kept her grounded. Which is precisely why her mind has to conjure up visions of him (presumably from what we saw in the trailer) to keep her from blowing up entirely.

I think season 2 is going to tease us with a little bit of Guitarspear/Guardrock from Lute. She always loved Adam more than her loyalty towards Heaven. In canon, It's still unknown if Adam loved Lute more than his two ex-wives. Alex Brightman did say once that the only person Adam loves besides himself, and his own reflection in the mirror. Before his death, Adam's last smile to Lute was a sign that he truly cared about her and he appreciated that she stayed by his side at the very end. I hope Lute can remember Adam's gentle smile in season 2. My headcanon is that Adam always had perfect smile since the Garden of Eden. Adam can only give a sincere smile to someone he loves. Lute is the third and last woman who got to see Adam's loving smile.

Anon, I agree heavy on this for the exact reasons you brought up. That Alex Brightman thing? YEAH. People aren't talking about that nearly enough as they should be!! The fact that Alex teased that little detail at all is amazing to me, and I've been feeding off of it ever since. To me, "...and maybe Lute" translates to "...and [DEFINITELY] Lute." THAT SMILE TOO... UUF. Still not over it, I'm telling you. I've always seen Adam as someone who has a very hard exterior that is extremely difficult to break. He likes presenting himself as this big macho tough guy all the time, resisting any hint of vulnerability that might slip through. But in those "final" moments with Lute? He let it all shatter and spill. Lute might as well have been the only one Adam was genuinely comfortable enough being vulnerable with, and we see that so clearly in that scene. The only genuine smile from him is in those few seconds where he's looking up at Lute—where she's the last thing he sees before it all goes dark. In that moment, only she exists to him, and I think that's so goddamned beautiful. So yes, circling back to the original point, anon, I absolutely think season 2 will tease us with a little bit of Guitarspear. We already saw that with Gravity, but I heavily doubt that's the extent of it in season 2 considering season 1's heartbreaking finale for those two.

Sinner Adam & Lute’s reunion needs to have this dialogue between the two of them. This conversation is necessary for the foundation of their relationship/romance in season three or four. Maybe in Hazbin Hotel season five?

Lute: “Why did you smile at me before you died?”

Adam: “How the hell should I know the reason why I smiled to the only person who gives a shit about a bastard like me. Now it’s your turn to answer my question. Why do you fucking care so much about me? You became a fallen angel just so you can spend the rest of eternity with me trapped down here in this hellhole. Why?”

Lute: “It’s because… I always wanted to… tell you…”

Adam: “For fuck sake, just spit it out already! Why are you taking so long to answer the damn question?! The only possible answer I can think of why you care about me is because your in love with me, or some shit.”

Lute: “You just answered your own question.”

Adam: “What the fuck does that mea… wait a minute… holy shit.” (He’s finally aware of Lute’s true feelings for him 😳)

Adam: “Do you honestly feel that way about me?”

Lute: “Fuck yes, Adam.”

Adam: “Well in that case, maybe the other reason why I smiled at you before my shitty death is because I realized that I finally found my dream girl and I was such a dumbass that I never thought Creation would give me a third chance to feel loved.”

Lute: “Does that mean you feel the same way?”

Adam: “Lute, let me give it to you straight. It fucking sucks that Hell is definitely forever for the both of us. Heaven is overrated and all the angels are a bunch of self-righteous hypocrite fucking assholes. But at least I get to spend the rest of eternity with the last woman I’ll ever love. I don’t need to go back to Heaven, as long as I’m with you.”

Lute: Adam… you complete me! (She’s happily crying 🥰)

Okay so I JUST watched and listened to Gravity and… I am speechless. Genuinely. There are not enough words in the English language to properly convey how much I am losing my mind over this (in the absolute best way possible.)

Genuinely it is so difficult to actually even TYPE properly right now omg 🥹

Also I am never getting over this scene EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE. Guitarspear wins hottest hazbin couple award.

I LOVE THEM SO BAD AND ALSO SEEING LUTE CRY???? That broke me. That broke me so hard. My favorite trope in media of all time is when the “tough” character breaks down and shows vulnerability and this is so prevalent here alongside her love for Adam anddddd aarghgrhghhh.

The song itself is also INCREDIBLE. Their vocals complement one another excellently and I adore Adam’s backing growls that highlights Lute’s rough but still sweetly majestic voice at the forefront.

Expect a LOT more rambling about this because I’m losing it.

Adam always breaks the fourth wall, and he’s funny as hell every time! 😂 (Alex Brightman is the perfect casting choice for Adam.)

Season 1. "Oh, uh, ugly people? Math? Global warming--? Oh wait, that's Earth's problem. Uhhhh."

I wonder in season 3 if Adam will break the fourth wall again in a flashback? It would be funnier if Adam is already self-aware that he’s just a memory in a flashback.

Oh yeah anon, Alex Brightman was suchh a good choice for Adam! Totally agree! His humor and occasional improv with Adam is off the charts and I looove it haha. Adam's little quips and snarky comebacks are precisely what makes him stand out as a character. They're deliberate, and push people's buttons in all the right ways. I would love to see more of that in season 3! Hell, I would love to see more of Adam in GENERAL in season 3. The heightened self-awareness would be hilarious though, no doubt.

I really hope Rosie and the citizens of Cannibal Town didn’t eat Adam’s corpse. They already killed and ate dozens of exorcist angels. Lucifer is a prideful ass, but he can at least pay his respects to Adam by burning his body in a sacred place only himself and Lilith knows it.

In season 2, they better not show Rosie cooking and baking Adam’s corpse so she can eat his remains as her next meal. Cannibal Town is probably going to be Lute’s number one location she’s going to destroy first. Psycho Lute vs Rosie would be an epic fight. Lute gets the opportunity to avenge all of her fallen exorcist sisters who were eaten by cannibal sinners. I’m rooting for Lute in season 2!

I’ve heard this theory floating around way back when season 1 first ended, and while plausible, I don’t think this is will be the case.

Rosie eating Adam’s corpse straight-up undermines his whole existence as a character and I don’t think that’ll happen considering how important he is to the story. I also agree with your point about Lucifer: that he’ll be respectful enough to not let something like that happen. Even then, I don’t think Rosie would do something like that either. She’s cruel but she isn’t totally corrupted by pride to the point where she’ll just casually devour the body of the first man lol. (And yes, I know Hazbin takes place in the Pride Ring as of now. Some are just worse than others in my eyes.) She likely understands there’s significance there as well despite resenting him.

I can see the other cannibals targeting his body, but again, I don’t think it’ll get to the point where he’s actually eaten. Another reason is because, considering the sinner Adam theories, his body may have actually just disappeared as a whole.

Lute avenging Adam and her fellow exorcists is something I am definitely dying to see though. I’m curious to see just how far she goes, and absolutely cannot wait to watch that badassery on screen! Totally rooting for her as well, anon.

As I’ve touched on briefly before, I think the fact that Lute ends up being the one Adam falls for is the sweetest concept in the world. Lute wasn’t made for him like Lilith or Eve. Hell, a romantic relationship between those two wasn’t meant to happen in the first place. Not at all. Yet, true love comes out of nowhere and persists. And that’s what makes their story so damn beautiful.

And yes! Shoutout to the lovely anons sending some of these asks haha (and the non-anons of course). You guys are all awesome. This is what community is all about: bonding over the guitarspear obsession haha.
