come and camp Friday night, choose from 3 group rides Saturday, race or watch racers on country fixed gear short track before the farmers market on Sunday! Wow, what a weekend if i do say so myself.
3rd.69th annual NUTMEG NOR’EASTER ! This year we’ve gone legalish with an official venue on a 300 acre organic farm deep in the nutmegcountry outback! So soft and so quaint.
You MUST register for your camping on the farm here if you are to camp Friday or Saturday night. Prices are per person. Camp opens at 3pm on Friday. Included is plenty of personal space to pitch your tent or park your Toyota overlander, a hole to poop in, a shower (albeit and outdoor shower), and breakfast & coffee served by chef Ron Romance each morning (gluten free and vegan options). It will be worth $25 a night. You also get the softest experience, as you can just leave all yer stuff set up. There is a big fire bon fire pit too, we will be having a good time. If you don’t wanna pay to camp, yer on your own. Maybe you’ll find a ditch somewhere nearby. There will be NO camping at Troy and Jen’s this year. Sunday a.m. there will be a fall harvest fest on the farm, so you might wanna stick around and buy some pies or other quaint things.
Regardless of your camping preferences, you MUST pre reg for the ride here on bike reg. I stress that you should do this all sooner than later if ya really wanna come, as I haven’t even announced this yet, and half the spots are full do to the reg link getting leaked on the internet. Thinking Julian Assange had something to do with it.
This is a special event I’d like to think, and speaking of special, we will for a third year in a row be offering allllmost all you can eat pizza for $20 through our friends at Fire in the Kitchen. Ask anyone, and these anyone’s will tell you its the best pizza in the state. You MUST pre reg for pizza too. You will want it, don’t be cheep. Limited pizzas available to not overwhelm the chef. Reserve now on bike reg! Plenty of fresh organic veggies available from the farm stand to round out your nutrition.
Please also bring any bike or camera related stuff you wanna sell at the flea market. Nice thing being legalish this year is that you can leave your stuff set up for the weekend. I personally will be selling several cool things at liquidation prices.
The Nutmeg Country Yankee Pedalers will be yankee peddling the usual commemorative t-shirts and trinkets, so bring cash and Venmo for that.
There will be a rest stop at a brewery on all ride lengths. If you wanna change ride lengths day of, thats fine. This is pretty loose since its not a race really. We might do a few timed randuro sections, we can feel it out.
On Sunday you can stick around and explore the quaintness more. The foliage will be popping like pimples on a teenager... ermmm... If weather permits, perhaps we can ride to the beach and hang etc.
So if ya wanna go, i urge you to register now. Thats not just salesperson me, but for real, its half full thanks to Julian Assange.
More info to come via email closer to event date. See ya there!
