You've probably witnessed the success of the low fat diet from the hundreds of items in super-markets that are labeled as "reduced fat" or "fat free", but do you really know what it's all about?

Dining out on a diet?
Have a reservation to that hot new restaurant that you've been dying to try?
Eating out while on a diet can be tough when there are so many foods that can pull you right off the "diet bandwagon". It doesn't help that so many foods served at restaurants aren't exactly "healthy".
Not lucky enough to have snagged a Nutrivise beta invite yet?
Here are a few tips to be on the lookout and prevent from exceeding your caloric limit.
Request or check the menu online, this gives you an opportunity to make your food choice ahead of time.
Skip on the breadbasket, request that the breadbasket is not needed at the table or place the basket at the opposite side of the table.
Share an appetizer, as well as avoiding foods that are deep-fried.
Ask for a doggy bag and save half of your entrée for later, Most meals have huge portions that you shouldn’t consume in one sitting.
Always ask how menu items are prepared. Choose baked, broiled, poached, steamed, or grilled. Avoid fried, deep-fried, creamed and blackened.
Request that all condiments, dressings, and sauces be served on the side; and use them sparingly.
If you must have dessert, plan your strategy accordingly. Eat a smaller portion of dinner, order fresh fruit or berries for dessert, and/or share a richer dessert with others.
Eat slowly and savor every bite.
Hopefully these tips will help you ease your mind and enjoy yourself when dining out.
