You know what makes this whole TLSC fiasco even better? In the time it's taken for Ken to release his crappy fancomic, Ian Flynn has managed to start up an entirely original webcomic of his own and release it on a pretty consistent basis. What makes it even better is that Ken wrote off webcomics as being an "inferior" format iirc, so it just makes it all even better

He’s so old fashioned and so stuck in his ways when it comes to publishing. He knows that digital is the future when it comes to comics, but instead of doing it a sensible way, he insists upon doing his own app dedicated to his one series, and publishing them as voice acted motion comics. All these needless bells and whistles, all this wasted effort. Bro just try to get it on Comixology or put it up on Gumroad or something

Getting into the comics the way I did (via a series of connected 4chan storytime threads), I was constantly hearing about "The Pendering" and the imminent reboot, but actually watching it happen and seeing just how much stuff had to be changed on the fly, abridged, or just outright cut short right when it was about to actually come to a conclusion was just depressing. I can't imagine how awful it was to watch it unfold in real time

Yeah, it sucked. It really, really sucked. It’s kind of hard to explain precisely, especially since at the beginning it seemed like an open and shut case against Penders. We had NO idea of the sheer depths of Archie’s utterly bottomless incompetence and how that would enable the prick to make off like a bandit (as much as he tries to sell himself as being some kind of brilliant legal scholar, at the end it all came down to the fact that Archie could not conclusively prove the existence of the original contracts). So yeah, sufficed to say? Not fun.

Don't know if I've said this before but I now get whiplash whenever I look at what Penders actually did with the Brotherhood because your version is so engrained into my mind at this point. Seriously, I wish your version of things was canon

I mean, for what it’s worth I think of it as canon. My relationship with anything Penders ever wrote basically boils down to that famous Mythbusters quote:

5. When one of them has a bad day, what does the other do to help cheer them up?

Ileana and Mach are as opposite as day and night, so I like to think they take a while to really understand the best method of helping the other. There’s a lot of trial and error before the two learn what the other wants and needs, but once they find that harmony, they really help build each other up.

Ileana’s approach is usually to see if Mach would like to sit down and talk about it; they know he’s a touchy-feely guy and they don’t mind that, not if it’s from him, so they sit and listen, their hand in his and their tail curled around him and they try to remind him just how far he’s come since they first met, how much they love who he is and how proud they are of him. 

If talking about it won’t help, though, Ileana is also down to spar to help him blow off some steam, or go on a long walk or jog with him, or even help him while he trains. And once that steam has blown off, they order food he likes (even if they personally can’t stand the greasy, cheap messy junk food he loves) and spend the rest of the day unwinding and reminding him just why they love him so much. 

I’d like to think Mach also experiences his fair share of misunderstandings when trying to cheer Ileana up - what works for him, blasting music and hitting things and yelling, doesn’t really help his partner, he’ll find. I feel like when he does figure it out, he goes for appealing to their quiet nature while still embracing his own take on things -- a blanket fort with a little lamp so they can still read while laying against him, him reading over their shoulder or mumbling praises and reminding them just how much they’ve done for him and others, talking for hours, Mach tried to make tea but neither of them are brave enough to try it cos he doesn’t really know how to make it and he seems to somehow have burnt it?? Planting little kisses along them, or just letting them cry because they really don’t let themselves do that as often as they should. 

6. If they got to pick what one another wears for a day, what would one another wear?

Contrary to what most would think, I feel like their aesthetics melt and mesh well together post-Osakiru escape. Ileana adopts a more casual, almost goth look - dark colors, leggings, all very subtle and subdued, but a significant shift from their classier, sort of aristocratic and ouji inspired looks, which they’ll always sorta lean into.

As such, I imagine they’d try to coax him into wearing something like this:

Or really most outfits from FFXV  or even The Arcana. You can take the lizard out of the Sol Dimension but you can’t take the Sol Dimension outta the lizard.

As for what Mach makes them wear, I’m inclined to imagine he tries to get them more and more casual but probably can’t resist getting them in sweatpants and a sweater specifically his sweater, which he regrets cos now they sleep in it and it always smells like flowery perfume now.     I also imagine he genuinely tries to find cute dresses for them - something more casual and airy than the “stuffy” dress they usually wear, something light and flowy but still with regard to their usual sense of style.

Also when Ileana starts presenting more and more masculine, I like to imagine he helps them find stuff. 

That sound right for Mach, for both questions? Feel free to correct me if not/make additions!
