Man I just love a story about a single dad with his tiny child. Fighting against a world that'll tear them apart if they show the slightest amount of vulnerability

And that last one is just a small Biology thing for galvantula. Emmet is our willing model for the sketches here lol

so so glad you liked my idea of adaline splitting into a different 'quil when the aftermath of nuzleaf's betrayal becomes all too overwhelming!! but recently i came up with something much more evil (lh): what if both bodies were "connected" in the sense that she feels what the part of her that remained in the voidlands feels?

when she goes back home and tries to sleep in the dead of night, does she feel the cold comfort of her bed, or the hot, rocky surface of her resting place? when the weather gets slightly so chilly, does she feel the cold wind blow in her face, or the hot, choking air of the world beyond? when she tries to warm herself up, does it ever so slightly help her, or is it useless as there is no fire left in her previous self to heat?

when she thinks about how she gets the additional ghost typing, does she feel frightened by it, or does she find it almost funny given what was done?

God, I've actually been talking to fuji about this in all honesty, for angst purposes!

Basically for me, my idea was that no, the bodies aren't actually connected, but... her corpse followed her out of the voidlands, all of her escaped, but with everything going on, she couldn't even bury herself

She couldn't give herself the comfort of an actual grave, and isn't that horrible? To neglect what she was before out of necessity? Because there honestly just wasn't enough time?

She can't help but to think about it in the brief moments of stillness that she had before going on because nothing can be done

The fact she's a ghost doesn't hit until later, but even with how young she was, even she thought it was borderline hilarious that a mere ghost was supposed to save the world, can't even escape fate when you're *dead*

But on the other hand, someone finding her old body in a moment of clarity. Having the itching, CLAWING feeling of something being so terribly wrong... that something horrible had happened to someone he cares about very much?

Nuzleaf finding her corpse where he turned her to stone, her items stolen right off her. He can't wrap his head around it, even as he stumbled towards her, borderline delirious with the horror he was witnessing? Calling out to her, but he can't hold onto the denial when he finally reaches her, only to feel how she had gone cold and wouldn't breathe, choking on his own tears over what he knew HE had done in a moment where he still had his mind

Having to bury his own daughter because he wasn't strong enough for her, too much of a coward to fight back, and it cost him *everything*
