With his eyes getting used to the light and slowly becoming more aware of his surroundings, Patroclus noticed that he wasn't the only one there. Civilians and the gladiators that accompanied him during the battle... being looked after the echoes. It was hard to believe, but the pain and heaviness in his every bone reminded him that he wasn't dreaming. It seemed that the ex-gladiator was unfocused, as it almost caught him off guard when Dzondria fastened a bandage that had loosened. A part of the ex-gladiator wanted to laugh at the mockery, but he could feel that even sneezing would be a terrible idea. "Is that so?" The exhaustion in his voice made it difficult to show the amusement in it. Ever since Patroclus was child, he was a great swimmer. To be expected for a Septimontian. But he supposed he was no match to someone like Dzondria.
He has only seen kerasaurs in the wild or the arena. Seeing one treat the unconscious so gently was... different. "Dzondria," he called to them and, when they met his gaze, he offered a gentle smile, one of genuine gratitude. "Thank you." He would've liked to say more, but it was then that his eyes were covered all of a sudden and he was ordered to rest. He had planned on recovering his strength to stand up and check on the civilians and soldiers, use his terminal to inform that his group was safe and so was a group of civilians. (Actually, how was the war going? The sea was calm and Rinascita wasn't consumed by the Dark Tide, so he wanted to assume that all turned out well on the Ephor's side.)
That aside... He could've sworn that he saw Dzondria's face turn redder. Was he imagining things? But it was... cute.
"Will it welcome you, too?" A new dawn, by his side, he meant. He should be focusing on recovering, checking on the civilians and contacting the Ephor and the Black Shores, but he couldn't help wondering if... when they will meet again. "If you must go, tell me when we can meet again. I want to..." Slowly, as he talked, he reached out to hold the other's wrist and gently remove it from his face. But, once he inspected their arm, he noticed that they had cuts and bruises, too. "You're injured." Not as badly as him or the others, but they still had quite the number of injuries. "You should stay here, as well." Please?
