While ink deals with the creation of new aus- fresh deals with all the fannon content. He sees every fan work.

I should write a post about the difference between aus and fanworks in nw- that’s a side note

Every fic ever written, any oc or ship- the knowledge innately exists in his head (to his dismay)

He also likes smash mouth, the band yeah. High ranking worshipers have access to a lot of outside information, like how atrophy has a lot of real items and media. But I guess fresh just uses it to listen to smash mouth. He’s kinda tired of whatever irl humans make so his interaction with irl human media is minimal.

He’s basically a real estate agent (wow boring ass title to give him)

A lot of unrealized aus actually get to meet him- remember unrealized means they’ve had 0 contact with anything outside of their au. If you see him and he talks to you you’re fucked

Not that he does anything violent or says anything horrible, he’ll just tell you he’s surveying the land to give his customer an accurate description. What’s actually happening is your timeline has been chosen to be sold to his master the host god.

Creation gives up aus if they get too boring- not spawning enough inspiration for potential creators. So it’s offered up to the entertainment God to be broken open and modified.

That’s actually what happened to killers timeline lol. Just one day this normal classic adjacent sans saw this colorful freak and then the next week some demonic speed runner player modded everything. That’s what you get for being boring killer.

But yeah When an au or timeline is sold off to fannon it can be modded, hacked, rewritten- anything really. It’s freshs job to make the deals and sell off those aus to needy fans.

He’ll also appear to characters he finds personally entertaining- or the host marks as potentially entertaining. Paperjam, Memory, Horror, Killer, Error- all of them are taunted by this demon. Ink as well but it’s moreso them being coworkers.

Swan/Dream likes to hunt him for sport but that’s his only vulnerable relationship, all the others he takes a pretty controlling influential role.

Would you guys like to see his design sometime? A note about his design is he actually tries to dress as secular as he can. He really doesn’t like his master lol. Nor does he like the clown aesthetics- he has his own 80s businessman look he’s really into. He does have worship clothes but he only wears them when it’s necessary. Which is basically opposite to ink where ink is either wearing his holy robes or is ass naked.

Augh sorry I’m rambling I just think he’s interesting ok. I love Frech the Demon

Ross wanted to know like how much access to the real world does each cult have. What an indulgent question for me. Anyways let’s go

(In every scenario we are talking about really high ranking cultists not your casual beta worshipper)

Heightened Creationists of any denomination have access to scripts. The untouched original first ideas and first written storylines of aus. They have access to any notes or drafts and it’s all archived in a large holy library/museum of creation. Drawings and concept art are all accessible and preserved in glass containers with golden etched frames. But in general creationists focus only on the pure act of creating a new au so they don’t really care too much about things outside of that.

Host cultists care a lot about fandom, and because fandom is on the internet they have full unbridled access to the internet. Horror and fresh both really use this to explore their music tastes because they just have YouTube.

This is a really funny fact but undertale fan songs are like sacred hymns and prayers. Yes this does mean when fresh is praying he has the option to sing story of undertale and it be considered fully holy and appropriate.

They also need to read and veiw all fan content- if you’re curious about the line between fan content and a new creation it just is blurry sometimes. But most the times fan content is the reusing of characters without necessary world building- working off of headcannons and interpretations of prexisting things. And a new creation is rewriting a fullly new au. Blah blah

But yeah a host cultist can talk to anons but also read your fics. And a lot of time they are instructed to read your fics.. They also could just reaserch anything about humans or look at real peoples profiles. They have the most wall breaking abilities

Atomized cultists have an interesting method. They have access to information but it’s all damaged in some way. Each record gifted to atrophy by the atomized is scratched or chipped, each painting is blurred or needs desperate repair.

The human history books he gets are destroyed mostly or damaged- Atrophy needs to pick out what remains.

Because they worship the forgotten, unfinished, destroyed, and erased- everything is kinda messy. Atrophy really likes preserving them though. He will get broken clothes and clean them up. It’s also why he listens to much older music, mostly because they came to him as dusty abandoned records.

Atrophy can obtain media from old abandoned sites like fanfiction.net or MySpace or like vines I guess. it’s very glitchy and decomposed but he still scavenges for whatever human info he can learn from it.

Does this mean Atrophy could play club penguin? Yeah I guess so..

I hope this makes sense… all of their abilities to access the real world are just based off of what deity they worship- so because the host is the big shot of fandom and the internet they kinda get the largest perks

Fresh is an enigma I think. I think an important thing to establish is unlike ink he doesn’t actually like worshiping his god. Truly fresh wants to commit reality bending mischief without being tied to the rules of the Host god (god of fannon)

Ink worships creation because he sees the greater scheme of the multiverse and decides to orientate himself to the closest thing that’s real (creators and creation). Fresh as well sees beyond the veil of reality and by god is he fucking bored. He doesn’t find creators appealing to worship at all, Infact he sees readers, creators, and anons as lazy absent minded gods with simple attention spans.

Fresh desperately wants to be a violent person. He finds chaos and cruelty infinitely more interesting then facilitating the same fluffy coffee shop found family fannon aus. He gets a few darker fannon aus, be it your infection stories and angst fics. But it’s simply not enough.

Ironically he’s physically unable to hurt a fly or even mutter a blatant threat or curse. Fresh is sanitized because of the will of the host and he hates it.

But he’s forced to smile and sparkle on regardless of his feelings. What he truly desires is freedom but when your the right hand of a God you are no better then a puppet.

I don’t know if enc (ink) is aware of fresh being like this, I think he belives him to be creepy and a freak, but he is at a high status similar to himself. Though I’m sure they would have theological discussions and enc could pick up on shards of bitterness in the demons tone.. suspicious at the very least.

Fresh is used to facilitate the greater plan to bring the host a requested worshipper. I’ve explained before pj and Gradient exist to be potential candidates for that( because the host was so fond of ink’s loyalty and wanted essentially a clone of ink). Fresh takes the place as the families “landlord” the parasite has invaded most of their personal lives to monitor and weigh the potential in each of the children.

However fresh is manipulating this plan to his own advantage, there’s one factor that the host is unaware of and fresh has been intentionally neglecting. This connects back to what both atrophy and horror are doing, but for fresh it’s his one chance at freedom.

So yeah he’s probably bisexual that’s my conclusion

That's got me thinking- What were people's reaction to dream suddenly (or maybe not suddenly(?)) killing a creator? Like, how did they even find out? Was it a messy public thing or was dream just quietly excommunicated?

Dream publically was declared “retired”, in all fairness he’s been serving the church for hundreds of years so no monster really thought much of it. It was kept pretty underground because he’s a very loved figure for a lot of monsters.

But in the church- or churches if we include the host, everyone knew Dream committed heresy.

I think Ink and Fresh are the only ones who know it was him “killing” a Creator.

It’s not really best to let it leak that you can kill creators,,

Elaboration on killing, It’s probably not the case the author dropped Dead irl lol. But Dream evicerated every single peice of his work, destroyed every last ounce of creativity and hope for a story. It would be pointless starting again after this, the project is unrecoverable.

In that way I guess it is “killing” a creator. Because that person no longer is a creator or apart if the fandom. Dream also killed their self insert… and his kids…so I guess that also counts towards the murder

I don’t really elaborate on it in the story- there’s no “don’t worry they aren’t actually dead irl” because those characters wouldn’t know that. But they probably aren’t dead
