Hi Guys ! Mael here. Tumblr shut me out. I try to log in, type my email (same as always, my laptop even memorized it) and then... there is this "nice to see u again, time to change ur password" step that CANNOT be skipped. So I guess I just lost my tumblr to... tumblr? Because I don't know how to get it back, and my old email is just that, an old email whose password I forgot... So I'm just telling u in case u guys have a magical solution. If not... I'll have to create a new blog. Love you all.

In case you’re wondering, what’s basically going on is that Tumblr found out that some of the emails and passwords were leaked in 2013. In order to reinstate security, they are forcing people with the leaked accounts to reset their password.
Unfortunately, what this means for people with out of date emails is that they can’t regain access to their blogs, unless they can get into the old emails.
I’m super sorry this happened to you; it’s so stressful. Send us a message when you’ve remade and we can add your new account to the chat and to the blog.
For everyone else, if your tumblr account is linked to an old email, now is a really good time to update it to your current email. You can do that through account settings. All of this is being rolled out in waves, so you may have to reset if you haven’t already.
