who: lucas sinclair & @backtowheeler what: lucas has 2 tell nancy something :/ where: the wheeler family home (where else???)
it took about two days for lucas to realize that he might have fucked up. he felt a sort of kinship with the people he’d spent time in the cemetery with. he’d barely spoken five words to cole before the graveyard, but there were just some things you went through together that bonded you for life. falling into an open grave was one of those. and cassie? he hadn’t even known who cassie conrad was before the cemetery, and now he’d spilled (some of) their deepest, darkest secrets to her.
but...didn’t she deserve to know? the vision she’d described to him was eerily similar to what max had said her vecna visions were like. while he thought the group would know if he was roaming around again (will had that link to the upside down and el could sense monsters), it was still worrisome enough that he felt the need to warn her.
but now that he had, he felt like he should probably warn nancy that cassie knew. he understood why nancy hadn’t told her, but things changed. and now nancy needed to be on the same page. so that’s why, after his shift at the pool, lucas only stopped home to change out of his swimsuit and popped right overr to the wheelers’, still wearing a bright red lifeguard t-shirt and sunglasses.
as usual, lucas didn’t bother knocking before entering the home. also as usual, ted wheeler was dozing in the living room. “michael’s not home,” he said thickly, while lucas waved him off on his way to the kitchen.
“i’m looking for nancy, actually!” if that seemed weird to ted, he didn’t say anything. lucas hopped up on the kitchen counter, snagged an apple from the bowl before cupping his hands. “nancy!”
