CITY | Afflecks mosaics - Mark Kennedy One of those blend-into-but-not (stop in your tracks and give yourself a moment to trace the faces with figure-it-out concentration on) features, a go-past blur of colourful curves and pointed edges depicting heroes of city history, familiar faces and the not-so (or, at least for those of us not-originals, brought up with our own familiars, or those of them not old enough to remember) purposefully laid edge-to-edge, hand-crafted for some-twenty years to gift us sense of pride in all-of-man(chester), presented in rainbow colours, and shaded - in dutiful, 'I'll look over you' cover - by the wrap-around branches of a silver-steel tree.
