Happy New Years y’all! 😺Still on the road, still alive. Grateful. Every. Day.I used to set resolutions when I lived in society and I stuck to them. Work out, eat healthier, meditate, read x books a year, etc. I don’t set any resolutions meow because I’ve absorbed all those into habits. However, I’m absolutely not at my peak in any of these aspects currently, but that’s the trade off. You sacrifice some things when you chase dreams, whether it’s a social life, freedom of time, even health.I recently dropped my bike and couldn’t pick it up by myself. That’s never happened before and is actually a big problem for me. So I went to the gym and got some lifting days in. It’s an absolutely necessity for me to be able to pick up my bike by myself.New Years is a great reminder to give us a nudge towards our goals. It’s a fresh start. So on that note, ONWARD!
Woohoo! Happy 3 years on the road! 😺🏍️
It’s been 3 years since I left my life of comfort in California and embarked on my world moto expedition! Since then I’ve ridden through 42 countries clocking in over 40,000 miles/ 65,000 kilometers. We touched most of Europe, Morocco in Africa and have finally reached Turkey! 🇹🇷 I’m so happy to be here I cried when I crossed the border
3 years ago I set a goal to ride through every country in Europe. I came close, but skipped Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova due to the war. I told myself one year for Europe and one year for the Middle East. Well things took a lot longer than I thought, but now we’re finally on the second half (loosely) of my goal. Honestly with how I’ve ridden, the Middle East might take me two years. How befitting that I hit Turkey on my 3 year mark 💪
Year 4, I have no idea what you have in store for me. But I am braver than when I started and I’m ready for you. Before I started, I posted on my beloved Bay Area Riders Facebook group that if anyone wanted to accompany me on my Middle East leg, I would be happy to have riding buddies with me. This was due to fear. Three years later, I’m a different person and have enough courage to do it alone. Let’s do this.

It’s great to be working alongside Fabio and learning how to do things the right and proper way! You mean professionals solder wires and put actual electrical connectors on instead of wrapping my bare wires with electrical tape and then heat shrinking the glob with a lighter? Oopsie tehehe 🤭😹
I’m learning! 🧠
